Ok, this draft turned out to be a terrible one, but we gotta suck it up and move on. Miami can still do some really nice things to improve the team. Signing Sammy Knight and Brian Griese, for starters, would be awesome.

Getting Derrick Deese after June 1st would be sweet. It has been rumored that Deese would be cut, and now the 49ers drafted OL Kwame Harris, so that could add to the probability of Deese being released.

Signing another WR like Robinson or Crowell would help also. Or bringing back Gadsden.

Between the undrafted free agents and June 1st cuts, Miami can get some more players on top of Griese and Knight. And maybe a couple of these draft projects will surprise us as well ..... hopefully.

I really think Griese and Knight are on the way. If we get Deese ...... all I can say is WOW!!!! Throw in a WR like Robinson/Crowell, and we have to view that as a significant overall improvement.

We would have a lot of depth (Zgonina,Freeman,Buckley, Fletcher, Griese, Moore ???, ...) this year in case of injury.

I would like to see some WR thrown in the mix ...

I'm still not sold on grabbing Griese. I like him but do we like Fiedler or not. I know what Wanny said about Jay being the man but I smell controversey and it scares me.

As long as Fiedler is healthy I don't see any controversy.

A capable backup QB is the key to winning a championship and Griese would be an upgrade over Lucas.

One more win last year and we were in the playoff. We should have win against Buffalo (6 turnovers) and NY because our defense totally shut them down.

Fiedler is our guy.

That being said.. If he gets hurt or slumps Griese will take over, and if he does, I think he will be our QB for a while (years)

a one year deal for griese is a win win deal for everyone. if he outshines Jay, jay is done or restructures, and griese becomes the man with a new contract. my prediction is that griese will be going elsewhere to start next year.
