The Miami Dolphins put on full pads for the first time today at training camp and that still didn't help out the offensive line.

Even though the added gear should have slowed down Miami's speedy defensive front, that group continued to find an edge both in passing and running situations. As a result, Miami's quarterbacks had to get rid of the ball quicker or in some cases take a sack.

Not good news considering Ryan Tannehill was sacked a league-high 58 times last year.

Coach Joe Philbin is being patient early with a brand new starting five that includes a rookie at right tackle in first-round draft pick Ja'Wuan James. But veteran left tackle Branden Albert, a Pro Bowler last year, had his own struggles.

Funny, I don't recall hearing anything about Albert having any troubles. Maybe I missed it.

Eh, they were practicing blitz packages. Im just happy there were no dropped snaps.

Like he has another choice. To expect this OL to play decent before at least mid-season, even then, is asking alot IMO.

its gonna get worse before it gets better. Ireland drafted jack-**** and the only half-assed guy he found is out so buckle up

its like having a thread about violence in the middle east

Sounds more like an article written by somebody that needed to write a piece. 5 new starters plus one in his 3rd ever of pro practice. It's gonna take some time especially going up against arguably the best unit on the team.

O line usually gets on tract later and the defense has the upper hand right off the bat. James had some comments to say about going against Wake as he is picking his brain as to how he can get better faster. Great player to learn from.

Like there was any chance that by practice number three there would be any continuity...rediculous. We will see what it is by second or third preseason. I am not expecting miracles.

Got to try to make improvements everyday.

wow its the third day of practice, and the first with pads, give me a freaking break! if the oline was dominating the practice theyd say its early and theres a long way to go before the season starts!

Exactly! Aside from the mainstay who is injured and not out there. They had a bunch of Dbags and has bens out there last year. This is a new group and it is going to take some time to develop. Take solace in the fact we have a great ol coach and over a month to develop.

They need to sign a solid vet guard if one becomes available at some point. I want to see Tannehill beast out this year and I'm afraid he is not going to be able to get off of his butt.
