I'm going to be moving to Boise Idaho in the next 6 - 8 months. Is there any way to watch all the Dolphins games without getting DirectTV and the NFL Sunday ticket?

Can you watch them on Dish Network?

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately for you, you have to have DirectV to get all the satellite games from the Dolphins. I am sure you could have several different sat. companies, but the cost would be enormous. DirectV has exclusive rights for the next 8 years.

That sucks! I guess it's DirectTV or nothing.

What about local channels? Should I just get those from basic cable?

if you can get away with just listening to the games you could pickup sirius satelitte radio. it's $13/month and along with the NFL you get a TON of other stuff.

Sounds like you got a vendetta against Direct TV. You can always go to a sports bar to watch them. Personally, I think Direct TV is great except for their HD package that they try to sell you for 10 bucks a month.

My wallet would like that, but I have to watch the games. It's just not the same on the radio.

Actually, I have no problem with DirectTV, except that in Boise you have to have a 2nd satellite dish to pick up the local channels. Also, I will probably be living in an Apartment/Townhouse, and not all of them will allow a dish, much less 2 of them.

I just think that the NFL Sunday Ticket should be available through all cable and satellite providers. The NFL would make so much more money.

some of the local cable companies have what they are calling "games on demand", same as satelitte, you pay for the service, i believe it is only offered in areas where "digital" cable is offered.

I'm in Colorado and for a couple extra bucks a month you get the local channels with DirecTV, no additional dish necessary.

I would recommend NFL Sunday Ticket for the easiest way to see all of the Dolphins games, but there is a way that you would be able to see Dolphins games with Dish Network. Dish Network offers local channels to areas that can not pick up the stations via a regular antenna. If you had your billing address somewhere in Florida you may be able to get a CBS/Fox local channels and see most Dolphin games. You would just need to have your billing address go to the area you wanted to get your local channels from, as well as making sure that the area qualifies for the local stations. Like I mentioned above, if the area is able to pick up local station via a regular antenna, Dish Network will not allow you to purchase local channels. To see what areas in Florida qualify for local channels you can type in an address in the link below:

Local channels are only $5.99 a month, so it is a pretty inexpensive way to see some Dolphin Games. Hope this helps.

I think the better question is why are you moving to Boise Idaho?

You have to go with the dish.
I might be pathetic but I would base where I live on wether or not I could have Direct TV. Chose your apartments wisely. Make sure they except Dishes. Does Direct TV offer the local channels there, for a added fee you can usually get the local channels.

PS.
You will be watching Bronco games if you don't get Direct TV.
