Yes we know. Plus no replies for almost 24 hrs, figured you need love. Why don’t we wait and see how he is with live bullets? So many things have to happen for him to play, such as overcoming Fitzpatrick’s knowledge of the offense, the oline coming together fast, any injury setbacks and where the team’s direction is after 4 games (if Tua does not win the job week 1).

We're in a dead time. Of course we'll see how he does in TC and whatever Scrimmages we have to replace PS games that don't happen.
 
Tua will not start the season guaranteed, and rightfully so. Even if he is the best QB on the team, this coaching staff has shown it makes rookies earn their spot. He will sit and I think it will do him well.
 
Putting Tua behind an OL that is not ready would be irresponsible bordering on negligent.

The OL is going to be young and inexperienced, not to mention new to each other.

No way will the OL play well right out of the gate, especially with the lack of a real training camp and pre season.

Tua does not step on the field until the team is confident the UL can protect him.

If he gets hurt because the OL plays poorly then everybody should be fired.

It all depend when season start. If we have 16 game. I expect Tua to start at some point this yr. Tua said he is healthy..Tua is key too flores and GM. This is Tua team.

This. Everyone is so excited to see Tua. But his personal health status is not the only factor that decides whether him playing is a wise decision.

Our o-line core is almost entirely made up of new faces, including 3 rookies. There is also an unprecedented lack of preparation for these guys going into the year.

It's almost impossible to imagine that we don't start the year with one of the worst lines. We have tons of potential and room to grow at almost every spot, but that doesn't help us on day 1.

Given all these factors, if we somehow manage to put together a line that isn't bottom 5-7 out the gate, it is an amazing sign for our future.

But in the end, they need to prove they are a functional unit to earn the right to protect Tua this year.
