From nflpenalties.com. Kind of illustrates how bad Pouncey and Tunsil have been. Penalty yardage only includes penalties that were accepted. (players with only one penalty were not put on the chart there)

Thomas, TE: 2 for 20
Stills, WR: 6 for 55
Jones, SS: 3 for 28
Smith, S: 2 for 20
Phillips, DT: 2 for 5
Young, T: 2 for 15
Hayes, DE: 3 for 17
James, T: 4 for 30
Tunsil, T: 12 for 78 (second highest # of penalties in the league)
Bushrod, T: 7 for 60
Fede, DE: 2 for 24
Pouncey, C: 8 for 70
Hull, LB: 2 for 20
Alonso, LB: 2 for 10
Caroo, WR: 2 for 20
Godchaux, DT: 7 for 45
Howard, CB: 7 for 93
Landry, WR: 4 for 45
Suh, DT: 6 for 56
McCain, CB: 2 for 17
Fasano, TE: 2 for 17
Davis, OL: 2 for 15
Wake, DE: 3 for 15
Verner, DB: 4 for 32

Godchaux was going offsides left and right early in the year. Seems to have figured it out as I haven’t heard his name called of late.

Laremy Tunsil - youza! Between him, Bushrod and Pouncey you’ve got a whole lot of backwards going on.

Between Pouncey Tunsil and Bushrod alone we’ve lost 200 yards. But that’s not even the worst part, it’s the amount of fouls they committed.

Tunsil 12
Pouncey 8
Bushrod 7

That’s 27 backbreaking, drive killing penalties. So many lost opportunities to score points. And that’s only three starters. Yuck.

What's interesting is that every one of Tunsil's penalties called on him were accepted....which means there weren't any penalties of him trying to hold a player that resulted in a sack anyway. Every single time Tunsil has been called for a penalty, it's hurt the play.

That probably doesn't even include the declined penalties.

Anyone remember the days when we were always the least or among the least penalized teams in football year in and out? Shula would never stand for this level of stupidity, just like Belichik doesn’t or Parsmells didn’t w NY etc. Not a knock Gase - he needs smarter players to run his system. We don’t see Davis, Young or Larsen getting flagged for the amount of stupids that the 3 stooges do so somethings up.

To be fair, your O-linemen will typically be at or near the top in penalties/yards due to the nature of the position (ticky-tac holding penalties, anyone?). With that said, I agree Pouncey and Tunsil have been less than stellar this year.

Carroo has more flags than Parker - not sure it means anything but is interesting.

Overall this team is heavily penalized. 2nd most I think ....
That's on coaching.
I tend to agree though I really would like to know how much of it they were getting when they had the white powder guy in charge. They have been less penalized I think under Guggenheim
