Dolphins player on Tannehill: "Can he play better? Sure. But come on. How can you evaluate him?"

Dolphins player said when they watched film today, there was a clip of Tannehill getting blasted as he put his third step down in his drop.

Albert: "If your starting LT and your starting LG played yesterday, I don't think [Tannehill] would have gotten hit like that."

Per adam beasleys twitter

I know its not breaking news or anything but alot of people here yesterday were saying stuff about other players hating him and thinkin he sucks but it seems like even the players know the oline is atrocious...

"But the players are blind and don't know anything :fogey:"

There are highschool o lines that would have protected tannehill better yesterday

Wow, what a surprise. NFL players don't throw their QB under the bus. Most don't. If there was a different QB back there who actually evaded a pass rusher even once a game, let's see how their quotes might change to positive praise. I guarantee you Brent Grimes wasn't vehemently disagreeing with his wife's opinion privately.

I actually find it funny that after weeks 2-3 Gase was echoing what people have been saying on here for ages about Tannehill, but after two terrible performances he won't say anything bad about Tannehill anymore and declares him to be his starting QB for the season no matter what? It does lend some creedence to the theory that maybe he was instructed to start RT by the FO no matter what and after this year he can bring in his own guy. Only problem is he will lose the team before then if this keeps going.

If you think gase is starting tannehill because the front office told him to, you haven't been paying attention

Gase is stuck this year as the FO made sure there is no viable option behind RT.

I think a better QB maybe could have avoided 1-2 of those sacks by having some kind of pocket movement...but we still would of lost regardless and the O-line was as bad as it gets. I have to assume there are street free agents better than what we got.

RT for President..........And no I don't think that he'd make a better President than QB.........LOL:sidelol:

Not true at all. Multiple articles that came out today about the Tannehill situation referenced an agreement Gase had upon taking the job where he could have complete freedom in picking his QB AFTER this season. Obviously implicit there is that he would have to play RT this year. Add that in to Gase's comments about sticking with him no matter what, and it's really not that difficult to imagine.

I mean, an FO pressuring a coach to start the QB of the future, when has that happened? Oh, almost constantly.

Actually this is a good idea. Better than the 2 dishonest horrible human beings currently running for president and it would get him off our squad. RT 2016!!

You can't quote a "source" which is just speculating like you are and claim it as fact.

Why haven't any Dolphins players come out to endorse Tannehill, saying he's their QB and they have faith in him?
