The Miami Dolphins finished the first half of the season with a 5-4 record. Here’s a look at how they have fared and what’s ahead:

Agree with the end of season projection...kinda.

This team is good enough to win those three even with Brock behind center. Get Tanne back and I can see the Fins pulling out a win in Indy and a win vs either NE at home or Minn. Thatd be a 10 win team and more than likely a wild card birth. Really not a stretch to think it can be done.

I'd REALLY like to see a playoff spot, but I can't see it. OL and WR injuries, not much at #2 CB, excluding the Jets game, no pass rush. On top of that, Gase calling plays. On the positive side, a bye coming up. And I struggle with 'Miami SHOULD win 3 more.' While I agree, this team has the frustrating ability to lose to lesser teams. I know that comes out as pessimistic, but the effect of injuries will be hard to overcome.

Get tanny back preferably today but more likely coming out of the bye and you got a shot. Otherwise it’s over

I love the optimism, but seriously? It would literally take a miracle for us to achieve anything past a wildcard loss.

Agreed, but I'll make a qualification. There are those here who predicted 6 wins or less. I would not be surprised, if Miami makes the playoffs, they change the goal to 'anything less than a playoff win is a failure.' You know, change the goal posts.
That said, I've been scarred by the last 20 years. I'm staying 8-8.

I'll take it. Would love to see a 2nd playoff berth in 3 years, even if we don't have much hope based on current performances.

Crazy, we could win out finish 12-4 and miss the playoffs. Not likely either way but most of the time at this point of the season if you have a winning record you control your playoff destiny by winning out. Currently we don't.

We don't look the part but as usual the AFC sucks and half of the field will be filled with pretenders. We could be one of them I guess.

Correct. There are generally 4-5 teams that are clearly playoff caliber and the remainder get in because they somehow beat out the rest. Either way, getting to the playoffs is a step in the right direction.
