Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey, who played only five games this season due to a hip injury, said he is eager to return next season and confident he can maintain his health and regain Pro Bowl form.

“Just proud of this team for sticking with me, and I’ll try to stay as healthy as I can next year,” Pouncey said. “I’m ready for this offseason. I’m going to attack it just like any other offseason to be the best player I can be. I just can’t wait to get started.”
Pouncey, 27, has had two hip surgeries to repair labrum injuries. He said recently that the latest injury, a fracture, had nothing to do with the previous labrum problems.
The Dolphins had their greatest success with the running game when Pouncey was in the lineup, including back-to-back 200-yard rushing performances by Jay Ajayi against Pittsburgh and Buffalo.

Come back healthy Mike, or James or whatever your name is.

I hope so! But the Dolphins better have a contingency plan in place. Odds are more likely that he doesn't play a full season next year.

I think he was playing in Pro Bowl form. He just can't play an entire season.

yea, I'm afraid his heart is in it but his body isn't.

I hope he can come back and stay healthy - glad they played it the way they did this season - the run blocking was rough without him. It was never so clear as watching the game Sunday.

worth noting he is a Walter Payton man of the year nominee - I love to see a guy who was questionable off the field at one point actually step up and take charge the way he has - just another story that makes me root even harder for this team.

He could have left two years ago as far as I'm concerned. He can't be trusted to stay available. I'd rather we move on from him and draft a center to take his place. Let him stay with the team as a back up center/guard.

I know we are a medicine-happy culture and we shun the natural stuff.....but someone needs to tell Pouncey to buy some collagen. Grass fed beef has tons of it. Collagen worked wonders for my cousin who had joint and hip issues.

Can he get both his hips replaced first?
