I realize it's a bit early to start this debate...especially with Pat White injured and possibly out long term. There are several quality QB's available in the draft this year and with our loss today we will have the opportunity to take one of them if Parcells decides that is the way to go. I thought Tyler Thigpen did awesome today, despite losing the game with a dumb interception throwing into double coverage at the end of the game, and I am pretty sure Henne's injury is not career threatening so he will be back. Pennington is also a huge question mark on if he will even play next year.

With all of that said, what do we do?

You have to figure Henne as our #1, and Thigpen proved enough today to be our #2 (uless we trade him to move up in the draft or to secure an additional pick). I can not get Tim Tebow out of the back of my mind since his playstyle screams wildcat, or do we go a different route all together and ignore the QB situation until we talk more with Pennington?

If we take a QB in the draft, I would hate to see what this fanbase would do.

3 qb's in 3 years is enough. We just need a vet to back up Henne, if it's Penny that would work for me but we have way to many needs to be playing around drafting another qb.

I can't see the Dolphins drafting a quarterback again for the 3rd straight year, except for maybe a 6th or 7th for depth. But I doubt it.

Do you ever give credit to the original posters you take threads from?

It would be 4 straight if they drafted one this year (Beck, Henne and White)

I'm perfectly content with Henne. Seeing the contrast in our offense between when he was in there and when he wasn't was good enough for me. (And I don't just mean today...we were an 0-3 team when he took over, afterall)

Jason Campbell would certainly give Chad Henne all the competition he could handle if the Dolphins managed to get him. I think the Redskins will wind up keeping Campbell for at least one more year though. They'd be stupid not to. Campbell is not the main reason the Redskins stunk this year. Their Oline was terrible, their receivers are mediocre and they had a rash of injuries like we did.

Campbell may not be elite like Peyton Manning, but I think he might be a top 10 QB in a year or two. He does have upside. He has a big arm for the long balls and is good with the West Coast offense touch passes. If an NFL team needs an above average QB to get over the hump and become playoff contenders, I think Campbell could be just what they're looking for.

Face it, it's very hard to find and develop elite QBs like Peyton Manning. You gotta get the best guy you can for your team until you get lucky and that superstar QB somehow lands on your team. That sometimes takes 20 years. We've been waiting for the "next Marino" for a long damn time ... that's for sure.

if we get a qb in the 6th or 7th round id go Mike Kafka from Northwestern. He showed me a lot in there bowl game.

Rusty Smith this year. Colin Kaepernick next year. Kaepernick is probably going to need 2-3 years to develope at the NFL level but may become great. Henne will never become great. Nor will Pat White or Tyler Thigpen.

stop assuming Henne wont be great especially with the lackluster talent surrounding him.

Draft ANOTHER QB when we certainly do not need one.. If we draft a QB anywhere in this draft, my head will explode. We need WR, LB, FS, NT, help and can always use good depth on both sides of the line.. We have no need to draft yet another QB.
