I was just wondering why the demand for players the Dolphins cut has been so high. It seems that quite a few have gone to AFC East rivals and others were snapped up quite quickly.
If we were so bad last year why are some of those responsible in such high demand?

Thanks

The Fins as a whole were not very good but that doesn't mean they don't have some competent players.

But I too am a little suprised at the extent of attraction to Fin players by other teams in the AFC East. But I think if you break each of the signings down on an individual basis they make sense.

We had good depth players that's why. We didn't have enough stars though, we had a team filled with mediocre guys that can fill a spot and that doesn't win games.

me neithe rbut a lot were good ST/def. players and miami strenght was that. our offense was horrible thats why we sucked so bad, our O coudlnt keep the teamgoing when ur last in scoring what u expect guys?

A lot of players were pickd up to improve teams depth, even though you guys were sub par last year, doesnt mean that you dont have some good players on your roster.

Most of them were Lateral moves...Meaning most of them didnt start here and they wont be starting there. Welker will be a 3rd reciever so he wont start, same goes for Sammy, Minor, McKinney, Kimble. The only ones that I see starting are McIntosh, McMichael and Carter. And remember, for all the FA we lost and havent replaced, we should do well next year with comp picks...

A lot of the games Miami lost were close games. Green bay was the worst loss of the year, and the Bills 21-0.

Those were the only two games the Dolphins didnt have a chance to win, the rest were win-able.

Pittsburg 28-17 loss
Buffalo 16-6 loss
Titans 13-10 win
Texans 17-15 loss
Patriots 20-10 loss
Jets 20-17 loss
Green Bay 34-24 loss
Bears 33-13 win
Kansas City 13-10 win
Vikings 24-20 win
Detroit 27-10 win
Jacksonville 24-10 loss
Patriots 21-0 win
Buffalo 21-0 loss
Jets 13-10 loss
Indy 27-21 loss

We lacked playmakers like a Reggie Bush. The Dolphins got the #2 pick in the draft one year too early.

Reggie Bushes only come around once a decade. Oh man, i've never heard it put like that before. That quote makes me wanna cry to think we were 1 year off from getting Reggie bush...:(

Well I'm not giving up on Ronnie yet but Bush sure would have looked good outrunning guys on reverses, sweeps, pass receptions & punt returns in a Dolphin uniform.

Maybe some of those 3-point, 6,7 & 10-point losses would have been wins in 2006 with a scoring threat in aqua & orange.

Two 3-point lossess to the J-E-T-S in one season, 3-point loss to Super Bowl Champ Indy, 2-point loss to the Texans.

That's 4 losses by 11-points

Saban did improve the depth on the roster .... we didn't make up a lot of ground on starters or premier players ... but solid, steady guys -- we had a lot of those

5 point loss to the Colts; 27-22 and we almost won that game. I was at that game. My 1st NFL game and was my birthday. Dolphin tears flew from my eyes but I drowned my sorrows in about 40 beers that day for 14 hours...

oops my bad 5-points is correct but still close and Cleo had us in the red zone at the end of the game did he not?
