Dolphins | R. Williams could learn results of appeal early this week
Sun, 23 Apr 2006 09:21:45 -0700
Alex Marvez, of the Sun-Sentinel, reports Miami Dolphins RB Ricky Williams could learn his fate early this week after appealing his failed drug test 13 days ago. Williams said, "I'm on the team right now. What's going to happen, I can't really say. I'm a spiritual person, so I believe that whatever happens is God's will. Whatever it is, I'll make the best of this and life goes on."

His quote worries me.....

We really need to find out what his situation is before the draft. He is still very good trade bait and could get us another pick maybe early in the 2nd round.

or he could be part of a killer backfield tandem, which imo is better than picking up a 2nd rounder for him, which is doubtful anyways (more like 4th rounder, rbs don't have much trade value).

We, in no way, could ever get anything in the market for Ricky that is more valuable than his value to this team. IMO nothing less than a 1st rounder is worth trading ricky for.

been sayin that all month long. this week this weeek this week

what do u guys think will happen to ricky?

I hope he would get suspended for FOUR games and that will be the wake up call for him to get his act together as a father and a man.

I don't think a fine would be enough to make him understand whatever is happening to him right now is of his own doing.

The fan in me wants for him to get off with a slap on the wrist. But as a human being I worry for Ricky and his children with his current course of actions.

Ok listen to his quotes, and how he sounds. He has lost weight, and playing football is completely nowhere near his priority.....If he wins the appeal, I say we trade him to denver for the early 2nd round pick they got from SF.....look, we all love ricky when hes on the field, but we as fans and members of this team have given this guy way too many chances on him hurting the organization....with that 2nd rounder, we can bag a blue chip DB in the first, and draft 6-5 maurice stovall in the second.....that would be an amazing first 2 rounds, and we would have players who want to help the team, and whos focus is constantly on their teammates and organization year round, and not just a few months of the year

I would suspect if he has good lawyers they have told him the truth. His chances of winning his appeal are not very good. If this was his 1st or even 2nd offence I could see there being some hope for him beating this.

im just tired of the guy, tired of worryin, tired of giving the organization bad press....this situation sucks, and needs to come to an end...this guy is a waste of talent, and to be honest, not a very good person...he can talk about spirituality all he wants, but hes selfish and stupid.......(plus i really want stovall)
