Dolphins ranked #22 most valuable sports team, worth $1.01 billion

That's what winning does for you.

They do have 2 winning seasons in the last 3. But since their inception they are 65-95, During the same period the Fins were 70-90

I guess this list is kinda spliting hairs when you are talking about 1.2 to 1.01 Billion. I would guess their stadium is better also.

Pretty sad that an expansion team in Houston has passed us by on this list.

Have you seen some of the other teams(Pack,Pitts,Balti...etc) that "expansion team in Houston" has also passed? Give me a break!

So why is Houston ahead of them? It doesn't make sense. The don't have a winning record as I showed above. even if you look at the last 4 years we are 31 -33 and they are 33-31
And they beat us 3 times during those 4 years. So we actually have a better record vs the rest of the NFL than the Texans over the last 4 years (31-30 to 30-31) .Not dissing the Fins just wondering what Houston is doing right. I just don't see it. One playoff apperance in 10 years. Is it the Stadium? I guess they are on the rise maybe?

199 million is splitting hairs?

Good point!

And the fact that team owners don't have to share revenue made off of renting out those huge capacity stadiums with the rest of the league has much to do with their worth.

It's not about winning it is about Stadiums, Dallas & wash are the 2 most valuable NFL franchises and they have combined for 3 playoff wins since 1997
That, and the Jets suck!:jetssuck:

It's not just about winning and selling tickets. Some of the Franchise owners also own the land where the stadium is built. Also, some stadiums are rented out for other events or other sports teams. For example....the Dolphins get $ from the UM Hurricanes, concert venues, and until last year from the Marlins.

This list has to be wrong... to think that the RedSox are not as "valuble" as our team has to be wrong...
