#Dolphins announce that they've re-signed Jordan Kovacs and AJ Francis

kovacs level you can find playing semi pro ball locally...signing rfa francis was a no brainer...

I like Francis

Kovacs must have been cut and then signed again a dozen times

shelbys udfa right??? if so i could see someone coveting him for his run d and his pass rush has developed some even if it doesnt have high end potential with it...we need to keep shelby if possible...best run d de on the roster

helps us spell wake on early downs

You are so right. What the hell is the fascination with Kovacs by this regime?

i'm sure he's just tendered at the vet minimum for his number of years as a pro should he make the 53...which has to be peanuts..so no real biggie...i'm sure he works his tail off and is in the building 24/7 and that appeals to them...he has to cause athletically that's ehhh all the way...classic try hard overachiever

Who's AJ Francis. It's hard to get excited when we resign our subs, especially those who fans who follow the team don't know.

Given that about 50% of our starting roster needs upgrading, what does it say about our front office when we are resigning sub-par substitutes?

developmental dt with upside...dts one position where red shirts and development in their games you can see a big difference from one year to the next...francis flashed potential in camp last year...plus he's got good size...dirt cheap on the tender too so no big deal if he doesnt pan out...easy decision

Absolutely, couldn't agree more. Young guy, developed in house, has done some outstanding things but still no where near his potential - new DL coach, new techniques, new communication style - take advantage - keep him in the fold.

He also does a pretty nice job when going to DT in long yardage situations and has done a 'decent' job filling in at DT on early, run heavy downs - he's talented and has position flexibility, just needs more reps to keep the trajectory of growth on the right path.

It's with guys like these that you become successful for the long run, if... they are with you for the long haul. Sign him.

He is a restricted free agent, surprised not signed yet.

oh ok well then he's not going anywhere should be pretty easy...same for michael thomas

if we did lose a de i'd look at that arkansas kid flowers in the draft on early day 3...but doesnt appear we will need to this year at least

will be interesting to see how shelby is tendered...

I like AJ. Soliai needed a little time to stud out. We deff need to build players we draft. Or sign as UDFA.
