Dolphins Refuse to Fix the Line

God damn you I was trying to purge him from my memories.

Does anyone remember in Lost at the end when they touch each other in the other timeline/afterlife and all the memories come flooding back…this was like that except filled with nightmares and pain.

You’ve brought it all back lmao

I wish I could get all the time back from watching that show.

Time will tell but the measurables suggest Zabel is no savior. Arms too short for tackle, a bit light for guard. He could become a great center but that's the one position our line doesn't really need right now. Saying he played all the positions doesn't mean much if he is only really suited to one of them. I mean, Savainnea played a lot of OT but we have no illusions about him playing that spot aside from emergencies. Meanwhile we don't know if there were trade partners so would you be taking Zabel at 13?

6 foot 5 315 is undersized for guard? If anything holds him back it will be his 32 inch flat arms. He’s got everything else.

Jonathan Martin-Billy Turner-Michael Deiter-Dallas Thomas-Eichenberg

The dream team
Billy Turner and his 31million say hello. Yes he was poor in Miami but once he was in Green Bay and coached in a system that fitted his style he was a 3 year starter. I think his issues on more on Miami than his ability, it just needed the correct circumstances for him to be adequate.

Are you satisfied with our top 2 inside depth being Eich and Borom or do you feel we couldve done anything differently for depth?
I'm not. I'm hoping for Addison West and Josh Priebe to both surpass Eich and Borom for inside depth. West was the highest graded OL at any level of college football last season. Playing at Western Michigan, he tends to get overlooked, but he did fine against Wisconsin, too. Andrew Meyer is another young IOL they have high hopes for. Between the three of them, hopefully, two can send Borom and Eich packing.

I disagree - respectfully.

I don't get to see all the games, but there are other posters here who have made a point of bringing that up in their posts; along with the observation that he was often used to fill positions on the OL that he was not suited for.

Surely that can be confirmed.
Last season, he only played RG, and once Wynn was able to play, they platooned the two of them at RG.

are you serious? you don't watch all the games (when there is no impediment to doing so w sunday ticket) and you run your mouth like you are the #1 superfan? and you comment on everything, like the world's biggest expert, when you haven't even watched the games? you have probably popped off about games you never even watched - in fact i know you have because your commentary is incessant after every game, which now by definition includes the games you didn't watch. this all just takes the cake. unreal. i guess is shouldn't be surprised, the fact that you don't watch the games explains a lot. it all actually makes sense now!

Man if this turns out to be correct I will be doing backflips. Hopefully Meyer can play guard as well as pure center otherwise I don’t think he’ll be active on game days like last year, Eich offers more positional versatility even though he’s worse at all the roles.

Knowing this coaching staff I think they’d want to go with one veteran option and one UDFA instead of relying on 2 unknowns, so I think West or Priebe can replace one of Eich or Borom not both. Eich has been here longer and knows the system better so I think they’d pick him over Borom as the vet depth.

I’d rather go with the unknown and replace both Eich and Borom cause you already know what you are gonna get with those two and I’m not sure how much more they can improve with their athletic profiles. West and Priebe can learn on the job I think they’d pick are smart enough to handle stunts and twists, let’s give the UDFA OL a real shot for once.

Who was the last UDFA on the oline we picked up that’s actually played and started their rookie year? Seems to be a few of those every year and we miss out.

I know he turned out decent after he left, but I think ppl are letting his post dolphins career affect their judgement of him while he was here, and he was nearly as bad as Dallas Thomas. I know he was miscast but just judging how he played for this fins he’s right there with Jessie Davis but you can swap those two since Davis almost got Tua killed in Buffalo.

When I can't watch the game, I follow it on NFL Scores. I can see the teams' trajectory (overall performance).

When I do get to see the games, I follow the ball and so I miss a lot of the detail of the OL play, but not the results. Sometimes, on well concealed running plays it takes two or three replays before I can actually follow the runner with the ball. Arcane was particularly hard for me to follow.

When we were running on 3rd and short and not making it, I could see the problem - there were no holes being opened up for our runners.

As for our passing game, when I could watch a game, the camera wasn't giving me a full view of defensive backfield because they were focusing on where they thought the ball was going to go. Without seeing all the defensive positioning - and especially any positional changes during the play that would lead to an interrupted or intercepted pass until the last second when a defensive player showed up out of nowhere was aggravating.

I have some seriously burdensome medical expenses that limit my funds for entertainment, so anything that engages me physically, like walking, yardwork or target shooting gets priority over sedentary stuff like watching television - and that is why i don't get to see many games.

Even going to sports bars is a problem for me, since my acute dietary restrictions limit me to 32 ounces of liquid intake a day and I find it hard to make a lunch last two hours.

I hope that helps you understand why my access to games to watch is so limited.

What little I do get to see has shown me that there are many posters here who get so hung up on some previous bad play by some players that they don't see or just don't credit to the good plays those players make.

Case in point - Tannehill.

I’m impressed you took the time to respond to that. I just started belly laughing when he called out someone for “commenting on everything like the world’s biggest expert.”

The irony is scorching.
