Here are the remaining games

Oct. 16 - @ Tampa Bay
Oct. 23 - Kansas City
Oct. 30 - @ New Orleans
Nov. 6 - Atlanta
Nov. 13 - New England
Nov. 20 - @ Cleveland
Nov. 27 - @ Oakland
Dec. 4 - Buffalo
Dec. 11 - @ San Diego
Dec. 18 - New York
Dec. 24 - Tennessee
Jan. 1 - @ New England

I have heard a lot of talk about us having a horrible schedule. And I will admit that it is no cake walk. But take note of a couple of things. We do play some weaker teams coming up...Cleveland, Oakland, Buffalo and New York (if you call Buff and NY weaker) and New Orleans could be thrown in that mix as well.

EDIT: Tennessee is in the weaker games too.

Most of our opponents who are strong teams are coming into our house to play...Kansas City, New England, Atlanta.

The two worst games in that schedule (strictly from how it appears on paper) are @ San Diego and @ New England. I could have also said @ Tampa Bay but I have a good feel for this week (hope it comes to fruition).

All this to say that I think we could end the season in a decent place (between 8 - 8 and 10 - 6) so long as we play with the intensity we did against Denver and Carolina and can limit the penalties.

Thoughts?

I actually think NE, is weaker than last year for obvious reasons. I think their O can produce still but the D is weaker for sure. I think we match up well with NE cus they are in our division. As the weeks progress and more injuries come up, I think we will be sitting nicely (knock on wood). I do not consider any team as weak, because we were weak last year, and yet we beat the Champs. That is a dangerous notion.

True enough, any team can beat anyone else on any given sunday, and yes, NE's D is not what it has been, all in all though, I do not mind our shedule right now.

10 - 6 is possible. I agree we have to limit the penalties and turnovers. We gave that game to Buffalo, we can't afford to keep doing that.

If we commit 18 penalties and 5 turnovers like last week, we wont win another game for the rest of the year.

If we play like we did against denver, we can easily go 10-6

Which team shows up. I think home and away are very important for us this year. We seem to be a completely different team depending on where we play. Im hoping we stop that streak this weekend but at least we have some of the harder games at home.

i don't think Cleveland is weak, their losses were against the bengals(4-1) and the colts(5-0)

Just for the record, I did not call any of our opponents weak, I said weaker, as in weaker than some of the other teams we play.

Good point and every one of those games is quite winnable...although none of them are easy.

I believe the next five games and the lack of Mon/Sun nighters should give us a bit of an edge in the final 4-5 games,an area where we need to improve in.As much as I hate not having a primetime game, there will be no short weeks this season.

3 out of the final 5 are at home too.:)

Arrrghh, i hate the fact we go to california two times in three weeks. It would have been better if the league had the games one after the other- like last year. That way we could just stay there and prevent two trips.

K. City, Atlanta, San Diego are games ill write off as losses.
Browns and Titans ill write off as wins.

that puts the fins at 4-5, with 7 games remaining. and ill say you need 9 total wins to get to the playoffs, as a wild card.

so you need to win 5 of the 7 "up for grabs" games to make it. 3 looses and your out. Tampa, (2X) N. England are 3 HUGE games that will decide if the fins make the playoffs.

Edit: by bad... tampa and N.England 2 times are the 3 huge games.

and all teams are beatable, but i think K. City is just a better team all around.
