I agree with all on here. Many GM's have done this exact same thing: Mortgage the team's future draft picks by acquiring veteran FA's. Can only help a GM who is losing today. Also makes the job less desirable for someone else next season.

If I am Ross, I tell Grier: No new player acqusitions if it costs over $100 and/or a draft pick!
