"We don't have an interest," Dolphins General Manager Jeff Ireland said in a statement. "We like the players we have on our current roster."

There you have it. Despite speculation introduced by former NFL coach Denny Green that the Dolphins would be a logical landing spot for Vick, the Dolphins have now confirmed their lack of interest in bringing Vick to Miami.

I think the Dolphins are absolutely correct in passing on Vick. Would he be a fit for the Wildcat and, perhaps, as an heir apparent to Pennington? Yes and maybe. But the Dolphins don't NEED Vick and the baggage he brings in order to win. They have players to run the Wildcat and they have an heir apparent they like in Chad Henne. Henne might even prove to be a better passer than Vick.

"Now if you wanna crown him...*BAM*....then CROWN HIS ***"!

"Vick is who we thought he was"......"and we let him off the hook".

This is also the same Ireland that said we had "Three excellent QBs on the roster"....Right before he drafted Pat White and gave one of those excellent QBs his outright release.

We may not pick up vick, but don't think for a second we've ruled him out.

I think this screams confidence in the current roster. The offensive squad just got a nice shot in the rear of some "get at 'em"... That is the reason players like Jason Taylor are willing to run through brick walls for this regiem.

I agree with GoonBoss . . . I doubt he gets picked up by us . . . but u would be foolish if u thought we have ruled him out.

This is a winners league and honestly Vick would FILL up Landshark stadium . . . personally I am worried about it being too much of a distraction, but their are some positives to it between filling the seats and getting a unquestionable talent on the roster.

The fact that the pats have been silent on the subject, when you know the question has been asked several times is a little scary.

Ireland is quite the master of deception. I am sure we all remember "you build your defense around him" prior to drafting Big Jake. He even looked embarrassed.

Although I doubt we sign him, I sure the Trifecta has discussed it. No doubt though ownership would have to be on board before Parcells could pull the trigger on a deal.

I think Miami would be a perfect spot for Vick. As he eases his way back to being a QB he could be a dynamic weapon for you in other areas and he gives you a better option for QB of the future as Vick is still relatively young.

Maybe your right if we didn't draft P.White in the 2nd round, although I disagree with signing Vick and the crap that comes with it. There's absolutely no reason to have a duplicate player for a package of plays.

This is a media driven idea because we run the Wildcat and have had a great deal of success doing so. Who's to say Vick would want to be a package QB instead of having a chance to start somewhere else i.e Minnesota, Washington, NYJets lol, Buf, Carolina, Oakland.

I think Vick expects to be a starting QB again but he knows it's not likely to happen this year. he can come in and they can install special packages for this year then he can compete for the starting job next year.

Wow, terrible spot for him to land. The wildcat won't be relevent anymore, teams will have figured it out by now. Vick wasn't even a top QB in the league when he was last playing

Yes he was a top QB, he wasn't a top passer but he was a top QB. He was a very underrated player, all he did was win w/ Atlanta.

+1. I wouldn't be surprised at all if those morons signed Vick. I could also see him ending up in Oakland with Crazy Al. Just because he's Crazy Al.
