Dolphins running back Knowshon Moreno will make his preseason debut on Saturday against Dallas, a source told the Palm Beach Post.

Moreno, who signed with the Dolphins in the offseason, had an arthroscopic procedure on his knee in June and has yet to appear in a preseason game.
He returned to practice last week but the Dolphins held him out of the second preseason game against Tampa Bay.
Moreno is battling with incumbent Dolphins running back Lamar Miller for a starting job. Miller struggled last week but had no help from Miami’s offensive line. The Dolphins ran for -5 yards in the first half in a 20-14 win against Tampa Bay and the run blocking was awful.
Moreno received a decent amount of carries in Miami’s goal line drills this week. He’ll get a chance to prove if he is the team’s most well-rounded back.
Running back Daniel Thomas (hamstring) likely will not play on Saturday. The team is expecting him to be available for the preseason finale next Thursday against St. Louis which could be a do-or-die performance him.

I hope Knowshon is able to make a few decent runs, thus evidencing the fact that yes, while our line blows, we have guys with zero vision masquerading as RBs.

As ive stated before, Moreno is not better than Miller and a lot of you are going to be disappointed...

Running aside, he's miles better than Miller at blocking, which is reason enough to keep him on this roster. I'd also give him the edge receiving with the 60 catch display he put on last season.

when you start with running aside when speaking of a RB, it pretty much seals the deal....

He probably won't have the great numbers fans will be hoping for but it sounds like he does a lot of the things well that don't show up in the stat sheets.

Miller has the speed, Knowshon has the instincts and vision. I'll take the latter.

Ugh.....give Thomas the Egnew treatment so he can start putting out job apps already!
