Dolphins Sale On Hold?

I'd prefer the deal to just be off, I don't see anything good with Ross being our owner

Dude can't come up with 500 million.... He must be broke..... LOL!!!!!!!!

It's a joke so keep it in your pants!!!!!!

Now we can all breathe a little sigh of relief. BP, you are under contract, let's roll up our sleeves and get to work - you got some scouting to do!

I agree. If Ross stays away, hopefully Carl Petersen will stay away as well. I have no idea why Petersen was even needed. I don't like the feeling I got from him that he wanted to bring more "entertainment" value to the franchise. If I wanted entertainment, I'd go to Vegas. I want a Lombardi trophy instead!

A couple long term thoughts come to mind:
- He is going to get bailout miney for existing businesses then by the Fins ? Sounds like in proper use of OUR (tax payers) maoney.
- If he did get the bailout then bought the fins... how would that sit from a liquidity situation to be able to pay Free agents signing bonus' and current players roster bonus'. Definately need some cash to run the team..

As much as people hate Wayne on this board, im more surprised at how many people dont want him to sell to this guy Ross.

Anyone care to chime in why?

Because everything was going right for us, Parcells and his guy were very happy with Wayne because he was a hands off owner.. now I don't know much about this Ross guy, but so far, all I've seen is bad things from him. Such as the Carl Peterson stuff (I know they're saying he won't come here, but something had to of happened for this stuff to just suddenly appear) and now this bailout that he wants

This is one of those rare cases in the last decade for the Fins where the status quo is actually the desired option.

As a Marlins fan, I'll always hold some resentment toward Wayne for the break up of the 1997 World Series team. I can't help it. It's probably stupid considering that he's the guy who spent the money to get that team together in the first place. Whatever.

That being said, I've always liked him as the Dolphins owner. He's always tried to go out and get the best coach available no matter the price. Yes, a lot of those moves (Wanny, Satan, Cam) didn't work out but at the time those guys, other than Wanny, were very high on a lot of peoples lists. Even Cam. The point is, he's always tried to do the right thing. And whenever you hear people around the league talk about Huizinga they have an incredible amount of respect for the man.

I kinda hope this deal does not go through. I don't know much about Ross other then the stuff we've all read in the papers recently and I'm not sure that I really like what I'm hearing about him. With Wayne, we always know that we're going to have someone who puts football people making football decisions in place and stays the hell out of the way. With Ross, we don't know what we're getting.

At first I was OK with Ross buying the team, but recently I haven't liked the different rumors I have been hearing. I just didn't have a good feeling about it. I hope Wayne stays. He has never been afraid to spend money, I don't think Ross in his current situation can really afford the team.
