Not a lot of wins here for either team, obviously. But I do feel like we have the tougher schedule.
With our schedule, I see two, possibly three wins here. Here's what we need to root for and I know it's hard. We need the Jets to win. The Jets NEED to stay close with the Patriots so that the Patriots aren't resting players late in the season. This goes for the Bills, Patriots, and Jets all-around. We play all three of these teams in the final three weeks of the season and we need all three at full-strength.
I do not think we beat the Broncos on Tebow Day. Gator fans will from all over the great state of Florida will pile into campers and head down the turnpike, occupy Wal-Mart across from Sun Life for some fresh jorts and root on their phony God. This is actually beginning to look more and more like a brilliant business move by Ross in an effort to Suck for Luck rather than sell a few thousand tickets.
For some strange reason, I have the Thanksgiving Day game against the Cowboys down as a win. Maybe it's just me being able to recall the 1993 turkey day game like it was yesterday, but I'm feeling win here. Other than that, I'm thinking we beat the Jets in the final week of the season IF they're resting players. The Chiefs can be very tough to beat at home when you're this bad so that one cannot be guaranteed.
The Colts schedule, I see three to four wins. Jacksonville on that schedule twice helps A LOT. Tennessee is a very beatable team as well. The AFC South is a LOUSY division. It's equally as bad as the NFC West last season. Us being in the AFC East and the Colts being in the AFC South is what kills us if it comes down to a tie.
I know it's tough to be positive, but this "Suck for Luck" campaign can actually happen. And believe me, if we land Andrew Luck after going 0-16, it will take you guys all of four games next season to forget all about losing every game this season if that happens. And in the end, JCane will carry you all, kick and screaming, whining and crying, to better days. Just have to be patient, realize what we are today and that it's not going to get any better with Pat Devlin, Matt Moore, or Chad Henne. It's going to take a legitimate, big-time, major league, NFL elite talent QB to get us to the places that the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers are these days.
And believe me, it's worth it.
