Four games are in the books. What have we learned about our team to change what we thought before game #1? The coaches, O, D, ST's, and individual players have mostly been on a roller-coaster ride, as have the Phans.

Do we just get a start over or, did you se something to change your opinion of our team?

I think the offense is "in progress" there is still going to be things they have to learn as the season goes on.

I am happy they made it through the first few weeks 2-4 especially with the number of injuries and players out the team had.

For me, the only thing I've seen to change my opinion is the ability to run, which I did not think we would be able to do. My jury is still out on anything else changing.

What should hopefully be helpful is Jones and Pouncey back for the next game.

We need to play more consistent - I can't take this week in week out. The run game has been consistent.

Getting Jones back is big as one of the big issues early has been Jimmy's inability to tackle. Wilson is a solid nickle corner that is awesome on blitzes, but we've given a lot of big plays up because Wilson isn't a sound tackler so having Jones (who even while struggling last year is a great tackler) will help. Hopefully Misi will be back which will also help.

Getting Pouncey back in theory makes the OL better. Satale has had 2 good games, and two **** games. I don't think the OL has been terrible. There have been moments of poor play, but they aren't getting dominated every snap like last year.

Another key to remember is that Clay is still fighting that knee injury so the week off will help him.

After tonight, there's a good chance that 3 teams will be 2-2 in the Division. We just have to hope that people play to their talent level.

2-2 is exactly where most of the fans expected to be at the BYE week. But 2-2 is not "square 1" because we are already 4 games into the season, and there is an opportunity cost that needs to be considered.

This, and Misi, Moreno, Shelly, and Tripp should all help. Also, Starks and Clay have time to get healthy.

Record-wise, we are right where I thought we would be going into the bye.

Personnel-wise we have had some unexpected surprises and some disappointments. On offense, Moreno was definitely a pleasant surprise, in fact, all of our RBs have played better than I had anticipated. Miller has been making some great plays, and even Daniel Thomas looks much improved since coming back to the team.

Tanny has obviously been disappointing for many of us, but he bounced back against a decent raiders D. I just hope he continues to improve.

The O-line has been an overall disappointment to me, but that should be expected. We have been short a Pro-bowl center and all of our new guys need time to gel. They looked much better this past week.

Overall, our D has been better than I expected. I was really worried about our LB corps and secondary, and while they still need some work, they have been solid for us.

Our ST play has been a major disappointment though. ST has cost us at least 1 game imo.

I think we all, myself included, need to stop over-reacting to every loss (or win), or even every bad play we see. After all, this is football. **** happens on any given sunday, hopefully more good **** than bad ****.

We've got 12 games left, anything can happen:)

Well thankfully the rest of the league is muddled in around a .500 record as well.

This gives the team time to fully adjust to this offense.

The most notable difference between this season and last is though still inconsistent, when this offense is on, it's really on with two 30+ games in the books.

A mixture of very good and very bad so far. I think many of us underestimated the difficulty of implementing the new Offensive system and the significance of the running game to making it click. This is a good time to have a bye. We have Pouncey, Koa Misi, Reshad Jones and Randy Starks to come back into the team, an extra week to get Charles Clay fully healthy and maybe Knowshon Moreno isn't too far away, plus promising young players like Fede, Tripp, Aikens, McCain and Gator Hoskins give us additional depth. When Jones returns it will enable Jimmy Wilson to go back to his best position as the nickel back and his natural strength on Special Teams.

Yea, it's usually best to reserve judgment on the team until the mid way point of the season. What we have seen are similar inconsistencies that have plagued this team for years, but they have shown to be a nightmare for defensive coordinators once the offense gets going and the defense is creating turnovers. The games we've won are the games where the offense was balanced and the defense created turnovers. Those are usually two signifying factors of a good team.

Dolphins are 9th in points scored but also 22nd in points allowed. Reflective of winning big and losing big. Right now the Dolphins are a top 15 team in most offensive and defensive categories except pass yards a game and points allowed a game. Dolphins are also +2 in the turnover differential. Where we have been shoddy and have had games turned on us is special teams. It hasn't been great this year and big momentum swings have happened because of it. That being said they seem to be on a decent trajectory, but they have to be able to be more consistent or else they will end up going 7-9 or 9-7 and miss the playoffs.

The one position that just needs to be solid is QB. Tannehill is tied with Foles, Roethlisberger, Wilson, and Kaepernick in TD passes. Not bad company. This has been a strange start of the year for QBs and that doesn't seem to have skipped over Tannehill. He hasn't been good and he hasn't been horrible. He has been frustrating, but he led us into the bye with a good win over a team he should have destroyed. There are a lot of good teams that are having bad starts to the season. We have to see how this next quarter of the season progresses. Doesn't hurt that we are getting a few of our better players back into the line-up.

Basically I have seen 5 things in the last 4 games...

1. We all expected there would be bumps with this new offense, and there was.
2. The defense is good enough to help Miami win if the offense is clicking, but is not good enough to win the game for us.
3. The O-line even without their best player is worlds better then last year
4. Miami can run the ball, and once Moreno get's back, this will become a pretty complete offense.
5. Coaching staff are also still feeling it out (What they can and can't do on Offense and defense, they have made mistakes too, but seem to learn from it, and are not as stubborn as staffs from the past.

* The Raiders are far from the huge test for Miami that we should be thinking Miami as world beater because of how well we beat them, but these same Raiders also gave the Pats and Jets all they could handle, teams Miami are competing with in the AFC east, so this is a huge start.

*Miami is getting healthier, and with a bye this week, they will be even healthier then the team the Raiders saw in London, which is good, because every game from here on will mostly be at the very least competitive, and at worst, pretty darn scary...GB, Bears, Jags, Chargers, Lions, Bills(Rematch), Broncos, Jets, Ravens, Pats (Rematch), Vikings, Jets (2nd time around).

Definitely rooting big for KC tonight. I think our key to the playoffs is winning the division.
