Dolphins secondary could be primary strength.

I think safety could be a strength but corner seems very devoid of real talent outside Allen.

I've been thinking this over and I tend to feel that Bill Parcells defense tends to rely alot on the pass rush. If we get to the QB's fast enough, it doesn;t matter who we have back there.

I've been talking about Bowles for awhile now.(DB/asst. head coach). Wherever he's coached, his secondaries have always had A LOT of picks. CK, I believe at one time did a write up on him in detail...... I have a feeling he's going to be one of our unsung heroes this year....

exactly what i was thinking. Pass rush makes the secondary better like the offensive line makes the running back better

True. That defense in NE is what a Bill Parcells defense will look like; if he can get all the pieces together.

And dont forget.....good QB play makes the OL, RBs, and WRs ALL better.

Before Goodman was hurt he was playing great...he was our best pure cover corner then...if he gets back to that level we should be good. Now if only Allen could catch...lol

agreed. The ultimate would be if Lehan gets back to his previous level. Yeremiah the bullfrog looks great. JA is doing just fine. the Dallas kids are starting to arrive.

Agree that Goodman was playing great ball. I like our cb's when healthy. Did not understand why so many said we needed CB this past draft. I think we may pick one or two up next year though to build a youth movement.

As much as I would like to buy into that, I just don't think it will happen. The only way I see our secondary shining is if the run defense is so bad again that opponents have no need to pass. Atlanta felt that Crocker wasn't starting material, and they're just as bad as we are. Bell is always banged up. Will Allen is a solid cover corner, but whoever is starting across from him makes me nervous, whether it be Lehan, Goodman or Jones.

Yea maybe it will be our strength if we draft Malcolm Jenkins next year haha!

Will Allen is not a true #1 CB. Id say its up to Bell to be the only true force in our secondary.

will allen has hands of stone but he completely shutdown alot of WRs. he is a true #1 CB at this point. hes done exactly what his job description has inteled, and done it extremely well. shut down your side in coverage, provide run support.

Allen is almost a shutdown corner... best we've had since Surtain 6 years ago....
Lehan and Goodman can both start and play well.... either way we'll see plenty of both. Safety is more of a quaestion mark.... can Allen play like he did late last year ?? Can
Bell play like he did in 06' ? My feeling is that im suprised this new regime is starting them and they must be playing to potential. Then theres this Crocker guy.... kinda hoping he doesnt take time away from Allen.
