The fact that he realistically might not even make the team, is where my idea comes from. Not too far fetched.
 
I think soap hands Edawrds would have been a better fit for us. We have no reliable deep threat.

Yup. If we're going to get desperate, let's at least get desperate for a guy who has a lot left in the tank and isn't a ****ing cancerous felon.
