Ah okay. I hadn't seen it anywhere except Canadian news sites so I wasn't sure it had gotten everywhere. Interestingly, Thigpen only signed on Jan. 11 and Mitchell still hasn't officially signed as of Wednesday.
 
Looks like Mitchell could be a huge signing. Fisher will almost certainly switch us to the 3-4 and that means Soliai will walk or be tagged and traded.

Signing Mitchell could save us a draft pick, and he looks to have some serious upside.

I doubt if Thigpen makes the roster. I would rather draft Jeff Demps after trading down in the 4th round. There is a big difference between 4.4 speed and 4.2 speed.

You mean the 4-3 is what he will switch the defense to. But in some 4-3 defenses, namely the Saints, they use a big guy at one of the tackles.
