Gray signed to practice squad

The Dolphins signed guard Lee Gray to their practice squad after releasing wide receiver Brad Pyatt. Gray wasn't selected in the supplemental draft after the NCAA denied him a sixth year of eligibility at Iowa.

I have to say I have no idea who this dude is. I did find out he was Iowa's starting LT.

whoever he is he must not be that good because he was signed to the practice squad

Tell that to Reuben Droughns, he was on the Phins practice squad at one time too.

He'll be on and off of the PS before it's all over. This is an example of Saban managing the "bottom half" of the roster... no more, no less.

I think we tried to get Droughns off of the Lions PS. To block us they put him on their 52 man roster. I'm not 100% sure about this but I'm fairly confident that, that is what took place with droughns.

Career Notes: ...
Gained 72 yards in second year with Lions, a year which saw him waived by Detroit and then re-signed after a brief stay on the Miami Dolphins practice squad...

Lee Gray played left tackle at a top college program so he must have some mobility at least. He certainly has the size at 6'6" 320.

UM, how about Priest Holmes, because he too was a Dolphin at one point.
