Dolphins sign Larry Borom

Can't get angry on this one. Sounds like the typical 7th OL on the team type of player. A guy you keep active on game day and can plug into a number of positions for a quarter or two to get through the game.

Anything more would be gravy and with the contract that he has, he could be beaten out by a high ranked rookie if we draft one. This guy screams 'insurance' to me.

Borom of the barrel?

We’re dying of Borom?

Borom at night but not last night?

Dont know much about him, but I'm worried that the Bears didnt even want this guy as a backup. He better not be starting for us.

He might not even make the team it at most he’s just a backup

Agreed up to this point

Daniels is good though so I’ll take it
And so was Brewer. Grier has struggled to find mid-round and later help at offense line in the draft. But has he missed in free agency? Armstead, Brewer and Daniels.

Other than injury concerns, which are legitimate, these are good players.

CK should know better. They have been trying Eich (and failing) at every position on the OL. It really calls into question their talent eval and ability to coach players without natural skill at any other position.
To be fair, the OL over the past 2-3 seasons, (when healthy) has been average to above average. The problem has been more injuries than coaching or talent evaluation.

Even Eich, when he’s in his starting position and surrounded by the other starters, has played about average. Of course we’d like to see a higher bar and players that can do well out of position or playing next to a back-up, but that’s hard for any team to find on a consistent basis. If you look at most of the teams that go far into the playoffs their OL was typically healthy the majority of the season.

Borom appears to be the newest OT/OG conversion project. It's good to see he can play 4 of the 5 Oline positions. Nothing more than a backup, if he makes the team.

I see a Guard with this guy. He was forced to play LT last year as they had nobody else even close. Big body, fairly young and has experience all across the OL. Like some have said he may not even make the team. He's probably backup/understudy until needed this year. Who knows, he might surprise and take the RG spot.

Eich, 'average'? LOL, no. He hasn't been average on his best day.

Better than Eich I guess ?

Is there anyone worse than Eich?
I guess there must be, somewhere.
At least our FO is now admitting our OL needs help. Maybe if Tua had that extra .5 - 1 second extra our receivers would have more separation and Tua would be hit less.
