Dolphins sign Larry Borom

Really need to evaluate the use of veteran here. Dude just came off his rookie contract, barely played last year and is 25 years old. 😆
Maybe he can line up opposite the DLine and bore em to death!

Guard and emergency tackle depth. He's been pretty terrible so should fit right in.

Did Lamm retire? Sucks if so ... he's a much better option for spot duty than this jabron.

Never understand why in free agency these reporters use the term "Veteran". Literally every single one of these free agents are veterans, just tweet their age, it's way more useful.

When Borom was at Mizzou he wore #79 and played RT (usually). The most recent Mizzou RT also wore #79 and is named Armand Membou. Maybe it's a sign...

Who gets 79 if we draft Armand? Borat or the early the early pick?

Never heard of him and his PFF numbers look horrible but Kyle Crabbs seems to think he has promise as a guard after watching his tape.

Hopefully this is G3 and isn’t their plan for a starting guard.

He was almost single handily the reason the bears oline graded poorly. He gave up 7 sacks in 3 real games he started lol their actual starters were pretty solid. Yeah hopefully Butch Barry saw something on tape and liked the switch to guard

A lot of people forget about how well the OL played in 2022 before they were decimated by injuries. And that was with Eich and a few other scrubs. Butch is a hell of a coach and most Dolphins fans were praising his work… again before the injuries.

I think Butch can field at least an average OL, as long as most of the starters stay healthy, no matter the players. Continuity is a big factor and something they’ve lacked.

(Edit: Changed year from 2023 to 2022

Is there anyone worse than Eich?
I guess there must be, somewhere.
At least our FO is now admitting our OL needs help. Maybe if Tua had that extra .5 - 1 second extra our receivers would have more separation and Tua would be hit less.
Tua is already one of the least hit QB’s in the league. I agree that even a .5 second longer would open things up more, however. Tua needs to learn to slide. Last season his stupidity cost this team a playoff spot.

Scrubs? Armstead, Williams, Hunt and AJ.

AJ was considered a JAG before Butch and McD, but he didn’t play in 2022. And Eich is definitely a scrub. Brandon Shell, a starter in 2022, hasn’t played another game since 2022. Scrub. So 3 out of the 5 were considered non-starting caliber players. And Armstead missed 4-5 games that year.
