According to a source, the
Miami Dolphins have signed free agent quarterback Seth Lobato. The initial report came from
Jason Hirschhorn of SB Nation's Acme Packing Company.
Lobato, a 6-foot-5, 229 product from Northern Colorado, was originally signed by the
Indianapolis Colts after going undrafted during May's selection process. He was waived on June 2 by Indianapolis.
As a senior at Nothern Colorado, Lobato threw for 2,725 yards and 16 touchdowns. In 2012, as a junior, he threw for 2,797 yards and earned Big Sky All-Conference honorable mention, with an additional 2,448 yards passing and 17 touchdowns as a sophomore, his first full year of play.
Prior to joining Northern Colorado, Lobato spent a year as a red-shirt freshman with the University of Colorado.
