Dolphins Sign S Ifeatu Melifonwu

He is also responsible for every goo player we have now. Glass half full? Yours is obvious. Who would you replace him with??? There are not 24 of anything that is NFL worthy for the $$$ spent by us fans. That includes Owners, GM's, Coaches, QB's...etc. We have had a string of losers at GM, you want to take a chance on a 10 year setback by starting over with un-proven GM talent? I am not so inclined.
Yes, I want a chance to win a SB. Grier has so he ain't close. 10 years, 3 HCs, multiple roster rebuilds, and Zero playoff wins. It is absolutely unheard of in the NFL for a GM to hire 3 HCs, unless he had great HCs leave /retire. Grier always has excuses, it was the HC fault, it was injuries, whatever. Guy was a horrible hire to begin with, he was the complete definition of failing upwards in Miami, everytime the guy above him was fired he moved up. Grier has been part of a 20 year failure.

Here is a challenge, you act as Grier's agent and write up a resume to get teams to hire. Then you will start to see just how bad he is. Guys all over the league that have done so much more.

Ok Chad. Oops sorry Dan 😂
I am not close to him overall, nor troll to troll.

But with Grier here we are yet again. Year 10 and 3 HCs later and zero playoff wins. Here we are barging shoping in the Medical tents. Why because Grier has made a mess of the roster and extended high price vets. We have a crap OL yet again and we will have half that OL in the IR come late in the season again.

Here shut me up. Same challenge as to anyone. Act as Griers agent and write up a resume to get him higher as a NFL. Show me all these accomplishments in his 20+ career. Bet you can't due, why? Guy has literally part of nothing but loosing front offices. He failed upwards, it is crazy his bosses kept getting fired for incompetence, yet he always got a promotion. He should have been fired after long time ago, or more accurately never hired to start with.

And yes I will complain more. Because he us currently doing the same stupid crap he always does. I can see them season now, we will start out great everyone will say he did but around week 10 the injuries pile up our OL is a disaster with 3 BUs play, QB throwing in less then 2 secs, RBs hit 5 yards behind the LOS. Then when we miss the playoffs or get that last seed and get curb stomped in the 1st road.

After that people say if only we didn't have all those injuries. Sorry Grier is a moron and is proving he hasn't learnt yet again after finally admiting the OL sucked after calling out media and fans the year before he still will fail. This is the NFL if your lines are rag tag medical units by week 12 every year you have zero chance at any playoff runs. Real GMs know this, Grier is not a NFL level GM.

Hey but I won't cheer for loses. Just like every year I will watch every game and hope we win and just take my kick in the nuts late in the year. Then pray that Grier is finally fired and we finally correct the horrible decision to hire that bum in the first place.

From ChatGPT...

Ifeatu Melifonwu is a 25-year-old safety who signed a one-year, $4 million contract with the Miami Dolphins in March 2025. He was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft after a standout career at Syracuse University, where he earned second-team All-ACC honors in 2020.

At 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds, Melifonwu possesses impressive athleticism, including a 4.50-second 40-yard dash. His versatility allows him to play both safety positions, cover slot receivers, and serve as a blitzer. In the 2023 season, he appeared in all 17 regular-season games and three postseason games, recording 49 tackles and five sacks.

However, Melifonwu's career has been hampered by injuries. In the 2024 season, he played only four games due to ankle and finger injuries that led to two separate stints on injured reserve. The Dolphins are optimistic that he can return to his 2023 form and bolster their secondary, provided he remains healthy.

You didn’t answer the question? Who would you replace him with?

"Rarely healthy"....that has Grier written all over it. Looks like he has played roughly 55% of games he was hired for, so the $4m WOULD BE $8m FOR A HEALTHY safety....isn't that what Holland is trying to get? Doesn't Holland play most games?
Holland got 3 years 45 million so it’s slightly over a quarter of what Holland got.

Miami's going to need to invest in a bigger blue tent. Grier bargain basement hunting in the injury pile praying that one of them stays healthy.
Be fair!
This time of year, with our cap induced limitations, we seem to be making some solid, if not spectacular, selections.

Hmm. Probably just a depth signing...and while Grier likes acquiring injury-prone players, a dislocated finger is kinda a freak injury. I'm okay with this.

Edit: Never mind. I see that he had an ankle injury, too.
But, but, but maybe he hurt his finger trying to protect his ankle.
Some positions are a lot harder than others that way. - LOL
