Dolphins Sign S Ifeatu Melifonwu

You didn’t answer the question? Who would you replace him with?
So easy. If we fired him at the end of last year as some of these guys got hire already.

1. Borgonzi. No brainer over Grier. He has played a massive role in the Chiefs drafting over the last 3 drafts. They just churn out starters all over. His accomplishments 5x Griers before becoming GM.

2.Ray Agnew. He is available (probably gets his chance next year. I would take him right now 10X over Grier. You want a guy with a football background and loves toughness he is your guy. Known for as a great player evaluator. Was director pro player personnel in LA that lead to SB. Has been Assistant GM in building Detroit. Again far better resume then Grier before becoming a GM.

3. Alec Halaby. He is the choice if you go off traditional FB background. Been with the Eagles since 2010. Know for bridging players scouting department with more analytics. Been on both sides FB and business, Assistant GM since 22.

And there is more, those are just a few. I know you will say ya but they are unknown. Guess what most successful GMs are until they aren't. Give me the unknown (when better prior experience then Grier) over the known failure.

Another name. While I am not a big fan of retreads, but if you want experienced guy who was far more successful then Grier go hire Thomas Dimitroff. 2 time executive of the year as a GM. Rostered teams of Mutiple playoff wins a NFC championship and a SB appearance. Non of which Grier has done. Easy to fine fired ex-GM far more accomplished then Grier.

Now build me a Grier resume that would entice an NFL team to hire him?

I will counter as a hiring consultant and lay out why Grier is an easy pass.

1. In a vast majority of his experience, was with one organization under mutiple failed GMs who failed to win a playoff game.
2. In 10 years since being a GM has failed to win a playoff game.
3. Has failed on 2 HC hires already and trending on a third failure.
4. Current roster is mess after doing a complete rebuild in the middle of his tenure. When from an abundance of premium draft picks and turn that into one of the oldest roster in the NFL with mutiple injury prone player across the board. Roster has a complete failure of asset allocation, which has lead poor roster balance, look at OL.

I would even touch this guy. Now please lay this resume for Grier.

Decent player but they could've gotten him for half that. Never healthy.

They all have a GREAT track record while THEY were in charge... You should be team PRESIDENT!!

So complain for an answer geat your answer. Zero actual rebuttal and still didn't answer with laying out a resume for Grier.

Conclusion you have zero knowledge of any GMs around the league or any executives under those GMs. Spell it out for Grier was completely under qualified to become a GM when he was hired and has been a very poor GM compared to a vast majority of GMs in the past or current NFL.

So unless you can actually provide something to support Grier well then no further discussion is warranted.

Ray Agnew for me while we're on topic. I love how the Lions have been drafting.

As for Melafanwu, I love this move. Please lord stay healthy. Exciting player and athletic profile.

Agnew may be #1 on my board to replace Grier if our owner will fire his buddy. Love that he was a lunch pail player and loves toughness. He has also gained a reputation of having an eye for talent in both LA and now Detroit.

Hasn’t played with the highest iq to date which has held him back as a pro.

Iq at safety is pretty important. I think with what we paid him Miamis probably chasing the same return it got from deshon Elliott but I wouldn’t bet on it. Seems to lack it between the ears.

He dislocated a finger guys, it isn't like his leg fell off. lol. He can be a solid starter on this D.
community wondering GIF by South Park

I would get me a physical center to open up his gap, Brewer was ok he can strike a player but he has trouble controlling his gap.
