So Dolphins, meaning business, have agreements with at least 5 of 7 draft picks.

Damn...Miami FO is about that work boss!

I am thinking Hickey really wants to go on a much needed vacation before june mini camp

Hell yeah...now lets get to work boys we gotta championship to win

I'm thinking this is where Tannenbaum does his best work. With rookie contracts basically already set, there should be very little haggling over the parameters to get them signed.

This is just one less thing for DeVante Parker to worry about.

Jay Ajayi four-year Dolphins deal: $2.696 million max value, $2.50 million base value, $220,812 signing bonus

Great work getting these players in early. The start of a player's career is very important. Some guys have the fortitude to overcome a bad start, but a lot of guys don't. Some of those guys who don't have talent, so want to give these guys every opportunity to start quick. Rookies are behind by nature; you don't need holdouts leading to an even steeper learning curve.

Question....is this the new and improved Dolphin Front Office? Had to ask because these signings of the best rookie players this early is all a bit Area 51. Not expecting this so early. If this positive wave continues......Mr Collins might become a Phin. Never say never. :-)

Never. He signed with the Cowboys.

The FO has done an amazing job this year. Now it's up to the coaching staff to get the team to come together as one

Ozzy rules!!

We have signed the entire 2015 Draft Class.

He doesn't do any signings. Its all Dennis Hickey. Dawn Aponte crunches the numbers.

Here's the pecking order from the team (and Tannenbaum's own mouth).

Miami Dolphins owner Steven Ross has made his 5th significant hire since becoming the majority owner of South Florida’s NFL franchise in 2009, and this time he hired someone to fill Bill Parcells’ old role as head of football operations.

“I’m not the GM,” former Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum said in an attempt to clarify his new role with the Dolphins.

In the structure Ross will put in place as of Feb. 1, when Tannenbaum officially comes on board, the 45-year-old NFL lifer serves as vice president of football operations, which is the go-between for Ross and Miami’s football staff.

Head coach Joe Philbin reports directly to Ross, and has full control over his coaching staff, and decides who plays.

General manager Dennis Hickey, who hasn’t even been in his position a full year, reports to Tannenbaum, but has full autonomy over the Dolphins’ 53-man roster, which includes the draft and free agency.

And Tom Garfinkel remains the Dolphins’ president and Chief Executive Officer, running the business side. Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino works with Garfinkel as a special advisor to Ross.

YES!!! YES!!!YES!!!

sign them... develop them!!!

I think we are finally getting our wish on that very subject, I have seen several posts over the last month or so with the dolphins brass talking about getting their young guys on the field and developing them. Hickey said the other day that Tripp, McCain, Turner and Fede will have expanded roles this season in the quest to "get our young players developed".

This is the latest on the subject from the Sun Sentinel.

The Dolphins need draft success if they hope to continue their "draft and develop" strategy. All 17 players from the last two drafts are currently on the roster, which suggests they're headed in the right direction.

"Development from within is the most critical part for sustainable success," Tannenbaum said. "Yeah, we're going to add some players (through the draft), and we think they're going to be impactful.

"But the majority of the answers are already on the roster."

And to be clear, general manager Dennis Hickey controls the roster. He has the final say on the draft and, apparently, almost everything else.

"All roster decisions rest with Dennis," Tannenbaum said.

I like t-bomb saying "most of those answers are already on the roster"

Camp can't get here soon enough.
