Today the Miami Dolphins signed former Valdosta State wide receiver Gerald Ford.

Ford went to a work-out today and impressed NFL Scouts.

The Miami Dolphins have made it clear they are all about small schoolers in 2014.

Dolphins have signed former Valdosta State WR Gerald Ford, who is 6-foot-3, 223 lbs. Not sure who is on way out but Hazel didn't finish Mon

I didn't see many reports on Hazel from Monday. He was returning punts and Omar said he was doing wind sprints during special teams work.

Two wide receivers with a chance to be free-agent pickups following the 2014 NFL Draft were among the 19 athletes (14 from Valdosta State and four from area small schools) who worked out at Valdosta State’s pro day on March 17. The workout was conducted outdoors on FieldTurf and in a drizzling rain.

Gerald Ford, WR (6-foot-2 3/4, 223 pounds) — Ford ran the 40-yard dash in 4.60 and 4.62 seconds. He had a 10-foot-4 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.28 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.01 seconds. He performed 22 lifts of 225 pounds on the bench press.

Miami has more 4.6 40 WRs on its roster than many 3 NFL teams combined.
