Dolphins starting tackle Dallas Thomas returns to practice

If Joe starts Thomas over Fox, Ross should come down on the field and fire Philbin on the sidelines.

Dallas Thomas was sat down for last week's 37-35 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, but it appears the Miami Dolphins' starting right tackle is healthy enough to practice. Thomas, who suffered a left foot injury against the Patriots, has started nine games for the Dolphins this season. He was replaced by Jason Fox in Sunday's game, and the former University of Miami standout was the top rated offensive lineman from the game.


It will be interesting to see if Fox remains the starting right tackle or if Thomas is healthy enough to get his starting spot back. The Dolphins have invested in Thomas all season because he's the team's 2013 third-round pick.

I assure you that the very first thing the Dolphins coaching staff and front office are going to ask themselves this off-season is most likely "What can we do so that we don't have to start Dallas Thomas for 6 games in 2015?"

Stats show Fox played pretty well vs. Vikings. Much better than Thomas would have. I don't know why Philbin seems to have so much love for a scrub like Thomas.
