I just saw Kubiak talking up David Carr on PTI, so that takes him out of the equation.. Now Cutler has skyrocketed, takes him out of the equation too..

All the other options include giving up a very high draft pick or bringing in another scrub FA..

I have no clue how Saban and Mueller are going to be able to land us a Franchise QB this offseason in the situation that we are in right now.

i think trading down in this draft is the best idea, pick up another pick, help get some more youth on defense in the early part of the draft, and then focus on QB in the mid rounds and FA.

Alot of people have not notice how Brodie Croyle stock is rising too and I read a small piece on NFL.com where they were comparing him to HAsselback. they actually said he could come in and be like the next Hasselback, relax in Saban we trust and it appears everyone has forgotten about a young man by the name of Omar Jacobs who threw 40 td and only 3 ints a year ago during the 2004 season...Wait to the combine, this draft appears as if it is getting alot stronger at the QB position.Young,Cutler,Lienart,Croyle,Whitehurst,Jacobs,D.J. .....There are some young prospects out there ,and after all are they all not prospects. some will be bust some will be franchise Qb's, all we can rest assure is our Coach and our personel will scout well and bring in the best available prospect cause that is what they all are. Prospects....

I think chris simms isnt to far out of reach... the bucs may not be able to reach a deal with him...its still a possibility.

....or it could be that Kubiak is playin the game and tryin to raise the price for Carr.....

I think we end up drafting two QB's. I heard those words from Mueller earlier. And we all know how many words Mueller is allowed to speak.

I think you would have more possibilities with Brian Griese. I dont think Saban wants any reminders of Wanny in here. Gruden loves Simms and Griese. I dont think they go anywhere based on what Gruden has said.

I saw the rumor of us getting Culpepper, which would be sweet. Imagine him, Chambers, and T.O....what an arial attack. I know im jumping the gun, but that could be a reality. I really hope cutler makes it to us though.

I say trade down, pick up Croyle along with extra picks! (easier said than done)

If Croyle has a good-great game this weekend, I would put him in the first round. I would be very weary of DEnver who has two #1's behind us and are itching to push Plummer out.

Kubiak was on Sirius this afternoon doing the same thing. They had the GM of the Texans on the other day singing Carr's praises as well. Sounds like the beginnings of a PR campaign to pump up Carr's value on the trade market.

Duante would be a reach at this point. He is a hugh man who had a devestating knee injury, and may not even be able to play until midseason.
