Just back from the game, and given I travelled from Australia to see it I am not best pleased.
However, have to make one observation from the game. The Jets really have the worst fans I have ever seen. There were easily 15,000 no shows, half their club seats were empty and they started booing their own offence from the very first drive. Even when they started winning they gave their team almost no support. I have never been to an NFL game with less atmosphere.
A Dolfan in our section did point out, rather amusingly, that the only difference between the teams is that we accept that we suck, whereas the Jets actually are meant to be good but suck anyway. Not many of the Jets fans even argued the point - the overwhelming feeling was that they knew that there is no way this team is going to be a contender.
Back to the Fins - I can accept ineptitude, but not cowardice. Trailing 14-6 with 1:20 left before halftime and one timeout and basically deciding to run out the clock is a disgrace that can, frankly, never be forgiven for the current coaching staff. I do not remember ever having been that disgusted with the Dolphins before, and unfortunately it was completely obvious at that stage that we were never going to win this game and that they were not even committed to trying to win. And it was obvious after halftime that the team felt the same way.
