Dolphins summoned Duke Johnson to their offices today

I like it similar to Lamar. But hey why not. Usually teams who bring in players last minute is very interested.

Might mean no gurley in the first ... or smoke screen?

With all the good players from the U, why do we always skip over them?

Maybe Duke Johnson is the answer if Parker falls to 14, or if Gurley plain and simple isn't there at 14?
No brainer if he's there in the later rounds. The kid has magic to him.
Yes similar to Lamar Miller. Probably better than Lamar Miller. Great depth, espcially if we don't want to pay Miller after next year.
Nice to see them taking talent from their own backyard. Would be nice to grab Walford.

We have and haven't. Just depends. Currently there is Vernon and Miller. We picked OG Carey with the 9th pick in the '04 draft. Randal Hill with the 23rd in the 1st. Yatil Green with the 15th in the 1st. DT Bob Nelson in '82. LB Jay Brophy in '84.

Then there's some old school names who came over in FA like RB Cleveland Gary, TE Willie Smith. WRs like Brett Perriman, Horace Copeland, and Lamar Thomas. OL such as Leon Searcy and Bryant McKinnie. DL's Willie Broughton, Danny Stubbs and LB Twan Russell.

I'm sure I missed some. Sometimes we're not interested, sometimes we're not in position, and sometimes we draft them. Though I don't think we always skip over them so to say.

Not a bad move since Miller is a free agent after this season.Maybe he'll want
$$$$$$. Plus Miller had one of the highest drop percentages of all running backs.

Miller had 52 targets,38 receptions and 7 drops for a 13.5 drop%
which was the highest drop percent of any running back with 25 receptions or more

I think Duke would be an immediate improvement over Miller in the passing game

Was there in person to watch him rack up about 200 yards on the ground against my Hokies

DRAFT magazine i bought "pro sport daily' had Telvin coleman ranked as the best rb in the draft.

DJ can play, but I don't know why Barry Jackson uses the word 'summoned.' I imagine that visiting with an NFL team is a lot better than jury duty, and I don't think Joe Philbin is actually a principle. Johnson doesn't belong to Miami, so he could have easily refused. It sounds like Miami invited Duke Johnson to their offices today. I like Barry Jackson, and I admit that this is nitpicking.

I was there also. Drove all the way from Williamsburg, stopping at Monticello and Natural Bridge on the way. The lopsided victory made the wee hour return much easier. That was probably the highlight of the Canes season.

Hokies fans were cool. I sat in a Virginia Tech section and chatted with several of them throughout. I respected that many fans stayed to the bitter end, desperately rooting for Virginia Tech to avoid the shut out. Of course, I was annoyed that they did, converting on 4th down.

Anyway, I'll be interested to see who is drafted earlier, Duke Johnson or T.J. Yeldon. Both need to drop weight compared to 2014. Yeldon is niftier but Duke is more powerful with a great stiff arm. I think Yeldon is currently underrated on most draft sites. He reminds me of a more explosive and arrogant Tony Nathan when his weight is proper.
