Anthony Hanshew, of the Herald-Dispatch, reports the Miami Dolphins called agent Harold Lewis about RB Butchie Wallace, Friday, June 2, but he had already agreed to sign with the Atlanta Falcons. After Wallace's performance in the World Bowl, NFL teams took notice and Lewis received numerous inquiries early this week.
 
Figured he would be a hot name after his performence in the World Bowl. I doubt he would even have a shot to make the team with us because we already have Minor, Harris and Riggs competing for the last RB spot. The Falcons could be a good fit for him and he has a good shot making that team IMO.
 
when I first read the title I thought the thread would be about the Dolphins courting Ben Wallace.

Wow, that would be great, which position would he play in the NFL?

Larry Holder, of the Sun Herald, reports New Orleans Saints RB Michael Bennett appears to be staying with the Saints. The team signed the former Minnesota Vikings running back before they drafted rookie RB Reggie Bush. Numerous reports had the Saints attempting to deal Bennett. "He's with us 100 percent," Payton said. "We're going full-speed ahead."

Very strange. I still think he gets traded before the season starts.

Actually you know, I think before he was given his basketball scholarship at Virginia Union, Ben Wallace was a football player in high school. I think he still wanted to play football but his scholarship wouldn't allow it, and if I'm not mistaken he used to play defensive end in high school.

thought it was ben wallace.....figured he quit basketball after the shelacking last night..lol
