Haven't seen it posted anywhere or perhaps it was merged with something but take it for what it's worth. Gives some information about last week's mini camp, including a couple paragraphs about Davone Bess. Also, there is a full list of player transactions since the end of the season including free-agent additions, cuts, trades, and re-signees.

Kinda funny all this talk about Bess. I like the kid, I really do, but we actually drafted some good players too....

Ya, bring on the pads! That's when this draft and FA period will start to shine:up:

Lots of interesting stuff in that link,

For starters...I hope this Bess signing turns out to be a steal for the Dolphin staff. Here's what Bess did in college and what Bills second round pick James Hardy did over their three year careers.

Davone Bess: finished with a WAC-record 293 catches for 3,610 yards and 41 touchdowns in just three seasons.

James Hardy: became the Hoosiers' all-time receiving leader in touchdowns (36), yards (2,690) and receptions (186).

I know Bess had just over 100 more catches, but that's only about a 2 yard per catch difference. Hardy avg. 14 yards per catch and Bess 12 yards per catch. Not exactly big difference. If that's the biggest difference in the two WR's I'll take my shot at the undrafted player every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Another quote about Bess,

Bess stood out at last weekend’s rookie minicamp because of his glue-like hands and shoulder-length dreadlocks as he caught everything in sight. At a muscular 5-10, 190, Bess is hoping to fill a void in the slot left by last year’s trade of Wes Welker to the Patriots.
I think it's easy to understand why the FO was so happy to get Bess without using a DP. Bess has less speed and size then Hardy, but still out performed Hardy over the same amount of seasons.

Here's an interesting and encouraging quote,

DT Anthony Toribio was the only college free agent tryout player signed so far by the Dolphins after just one practice last weekend. The 6-foot-1, 305-pound Miami native said he couldn’t believe it when Parcells told him he made the team because of his hustle and conditioning. “I was like, ‘Man, the Big Tuna told me what really got me on this team was my hustle and my conditioning. That’s a pretty big compliment coming from the big guy.”
Boy, don't you just love reading positive things like that? Even if the kid doesn't make it, you still like that the kid is getting a shot to make it. You don't often read about conditioning being a positive in 300 pounders. He must have taken the time between the end of his College career and the draft to focus on his workout program. That tells the kid is serious about being a pro football player.

DE Jason Taylor is still barely alive in the “Dancing with the Stars” competition, and Sparano said that the widely reported feud over the six-time Pro Bowler missing voluntary workouts has been, “overblown.”
“I think it’s been overblown. I’ve said this before; I said it several weeks ago. I understand what Jason is doing. Jason and I have spoke and that’s really all that matters. Jason and I stay in contact. As long as I know what’s going on with Jason and he knows what’s going on with me, I think we’re in good shape,” Sparano said.
I know this has been a big deal with fans since JT started dancing, but we've been told before this isn't a big deal. Gotta love how slow times makes us all nuts.

“Sometimes you can look long and hard at receivers and not see ability for a long time,” Dolphins coach Tony Sparano said of Bess. “With him, you see a bunch of it when you watch their tape. He’s running and catching constantly.”

We must be trading him to the Eagles!
