MIAMI -- Former NFL players Cornell Brown, Cris Dishman and Eric Green will work with the Miami Dolphins during training camp as part of the league's minority coaching fellowship.
Brown, a former linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens, is the defensive line coach with the NFL Europe's Frankfurt Galaxy. He will assist the Dolphins with the strength, conditioning and special teams.
Dishman, a defensive back for four NFL teams, coached the secondary for the Berlin Thunder in 2005. He'll help with the defensive backs.
Green, a former tight end who played with the Dolphins and four other teams, has been an assistant coach with the Frankfurt Galaxy and at Central Florida. He will work with the tight ends.

I didn't know there were any coaches left.... I thought we had them all.

And what is Eric Green going to teach? How to be overweight and underachieve? How to let Don Shula down?

Cris Dishman was an outstanding DB in his day so if he can teach half as good as he played great for us.

I was thinking the exact same thing.
Can't think of a guy that not only lacked leadership skills but went out of his way to be a negative influence.

Not happy to hear he's coming in but I'm sure it'll be in a minor role so hopefully it won't hurt anything.

Some guys learn from their past mistakes and try to have a positive influence for the rest of their lives, a lot of under achievers do

Like Ryan Leaf coaching QB's at that school in Texas....Id be willing to bet he makes a great QB coach because of his bad experiences

Dishman was a great CB and Cornell Brown has only been out of the NFL for one season so he will be able to relate well to the players. Brown also was a good special teams player. I dont like the Eric Green hire

Don't we have one of the largest coaching teams already?
Yes. But if you remember when Saban was hired he stated that having depth in the coaching catagorie is very important to him because if you are successful everyone will try to hire them. He don't like changing his philosiphy and don't want to have to change for losing a coach. i think it was one of the smartest things Saban said.

Coaches are only temporary

Not really anyhting to get worked up either way about. This is only for training camp. Probbaly VERY minimum salary if any. It is used to help minorities gain coaching experience.. Nothing more. If we get benefit, Great. Other wise it will be over once camp is done.. Most teams have this program now, it meets league requirements. It is the way of the world now. Diveristy is where it is at!:shakeno:

I actually like the Dishman signing alot. He played at a high level and seemed to be a very smart ball player. I think his skills will transfer well on the coaching level. I am actually surprised he hasn't been picked up previous.

This is an NFL thing and the Dolphins are obliging.

I bet the Dolphins don't even pay them.

It can't hurt having 3 more coaches in training when we have over 100 players
