Dolphins to wear 1972 uniform in the Meadowlands ?

Before the season started I heard somewhere that the Jets will wear those ugly uniforms they wore against the titans, and we will be wearing our old school early 70's uniforms for the game in the meadowlands.

Can anyone confirm that ? I'd love to bring our early 70's vibe into that game.

Talk about appropriate with our physical smashmouth style.

I don't know where you heard that, but I don't think it's true... the Jets are wearing their throwbacks I think, but I distinctly remember the Dolphins issuing a statement before the season started saying that we would not be wearing throwbacks this year- only the original AFL teams would be. Too bad, because I think we should wear them at least once a year.

I wish we would wear a navy jersey. Those dark blue with green pants would be awesome. I hope we never have to see those old 70s throwbacks again. Those things were horrible.

Man, I know we make fun of the Jets' green all the time, but honestly, it's basically just green.

Those throwbacks on the other hand literally use "puke" as a color. It's not yellow, it's not gold...it's straight up puke.

The Cowboys wore their throwbacks so we probably could if we wanted to. We actually have nice throwbacks too unlike the Broncos, Chiefs and Jets. Missing any other hideous AFL throwbacks?

They said it was only gonna be the original 8 AFL teams, but I'm seeing two shirts on the pro shop website advertising legacy games against the Jets and Patriots and using the retro logo for both teams. Hopefully they'll surprise us and wear them.
