Didn't see this posted, answers a few questions, and raises some.

Dolphins' Tony Sparano's coach notes.

South Florida Sun-Sentinel
7:35 p.m. EST, January 4, 2010

(On if he expects his whole staff to return) – "We will see. We will see what happens when we get on with this. I still have not evaluated that either. We got to sit, talk, and make sure I visit with each one of them. I am a pain in the neck. Some guys might not like to work for me, they may not like me too much."

(On if he would like to have both of his coordinators back next season) – "I haven't decided anything right now. We're going to evaluate everything here at the end of this thing, that's what we're going to do."

talk about answering a question with a non-answer.

I don't know know why reporters bother asking some of these questions, don't they know these are the answers they are going to get. It's not like he's going to come out and say he's firing somebody this quickly.

now let me answer both questions after deciphering this jibberish. NO and NO. have a good day.

Ya let's not sit down and evaluate let's just react so we can make hasty decisions that sounds much better!

Yep.

Honestly, that just answered all my questions right there.

If you are a made guy (Parcells guy) you can't whack other made guys.

I will just say that I may be overestimating this and, be engaging in self identification, but, I've just had this experience. It's smothering and crippling.

I don't think either of the coordinators are going anywhere. I also think we will continue to fall behind.

I'm praying we don't draft Tebow. I would've thought this was an impossibility before last year.

Now. I just don't know. :err:

It's only been two years. Don't you think TS has a handle on what he wants to do? You think he's not thought about what he's going to do? You really think this is the first time he's thought about how he's going to go about business as he goes forward?

C'mon.

if they draft tebow i will not watch a single home because i will throw up after seeing half the stadium in orange and blue.:BlutoPhin: something like this.

No matter what people do in life they should put some thought into it to make sure the decision is the best for them.

Maybe TS believes PP just needs more talent on defense to properly evaluate him, maybe TS sees how crappy our defense is in practise and knows PP is behind the eight ball before every game.

Maybe TS knows DH wants to retire and figures why embarrass him by firing him!

I don't know, I'm just throwing some ideas out there but I would rather TS sits down and discuss things after evaluating the season and makes the best decisions instead of just being a fan and make knee jerk reactions!

So if you are a supervisor you have no idea how your junior level supervisors are going to pan out over the course of two years without a final "Talk"?

Really?

And no one was better at this tatic than Don Shula...

Really?

If I realize they need better employees in order to successful I don't fire the junior level supervisor I get him what he needs, especially if I think he's a up and comer.

So then you don't need a talk, do you? You've made your call....This is my entire point. I'm not saying your call is good or bad. Just that you've already made your call.

The only thing you are going to "Talk" about is your new employees.....Not the future of the manager in question.....

BTW...One's been in his profession for almost 30 years. The other? Over 40.

As a manager....What else is it you have to figure out that you need a "final talk" for?

Because TS is part of a team and team players don't make decisions on their own. He has to talk with the FO and Owner, he should as a professional talk with his employee before making any decision. Why should a coach find out he's fired by the media? Maybe by talking to him it reinforces why he should let a coach go, therefore he makes a educated decision not a knee jerk reaction.

I work in an atmosphere that is full of knee jerk reactions and where they may cover up an issue in the short term it almost always back fires long term.

If I was determined to fire D.Henning, shouldn't I discuss this with BP/JI and RT who has to pony up the cash. I know I'd have to ask my superiors if I wanted to fire a junior supervisor!
