Dolphins trade deadline rumors

Must not have watched their losses. Folded like a cheap suit the second they were down and needed his arm. Yes he’s playing great with everything perfect, will that continue when you pay him 25 million more a year? If trusting Daniel jones is the sword you want to live or die by then by all means.
It's a team sport is it not...yeah I saw the Pitt game, it was not good, but Pitt had a great defensive performance, actually their best all year, at home, in cold weather in a big game...and even with all those turnovers and shortcomings, they only lost by 7....had that been the Tua led Dolphins in that scenario...we would've lost by 40.

The irony of calling it a team sport to defend Daniel jones than ragging on Tua who might very well have 3 of the worst starting olinemen in the league is pretty comical.

Yeah sure buddy...I was using the same outlier analogy of speculative projection that he used...it's not rocket science lol.

Jets will get Mendoza in the draft with sure fire power. Only shot we have is to lose every game. Jets game and Saints game a must lose. Get Ewers in there and let him rot. Lol

Well, Miami now needs to aim for the #2 spot.

If for whatever the Jets decide to pass on Mendoza, that could potentially be a gift to Miami.

Lots of things to consider here:
1. Dolphins are not in the best cap position
2. Dolphins have an extra late 3rd rounder because of the Phillips trade.
3. This re-build is going to take at least 3 years. Take a look at how lowly the Colts were and the Broncos. Now they are relevant.
4. How many good players: Waddle, Achane, Chubb are going to still be at a high level when (and if) this franchise is a playoff team again? The Jets realized this and blew it all up. Pains me to say this but the Jets did it right.

In short, let's be honest, The GM job is not the most attractive (cap hell, and not enough draft capital to be enticing). I sure hope this is not Ross's way having a re-boot instead of a complete rebuild. There is NO re-booting this mess! They have to get more draft capital, and they failed to accomplish that before the trade deadline...so Dolphins.

The Saints play the Titans too, along with the Jets and Dolphins. It's very interesting to know the bottom 4 teams have so many games against one another.

The Giants are likely going to lose their next 4 games against the Bears, Lions, Patriots and Packers. They then have a winnable game against the Commanders. Outside of that, they have the Raiders (in LV) and a week 18 game home game against Dallas that they could easily win.

The Titans probably only have 3 winnable games, this week against Houston (if Stroud is out with the concussion) as well as a game at Cleveland and the aforementioned home game, week 17 against the Saints.

In addition to these games, we desperately need the Patriots and Bills to lose a couple games, the strength of schedule tie breakers will loom large this year.

When in doubt, root for the AFC South and NFC South as much as possible.

MASSIVE game for us (and NYJ) this weekend is New England @ Tampa Bay. Not that anyone needed a reason to root against the Patriots but that game looms large for us. The Saints current SOS is .510, ours is .500, Jets are at .507. The Titans at .562 don't appear destined to win any tie breakers.

Taking tyreek hit all next year and splitting Chubb June 1st however I’d possibly keep him if he takes another pay cut and try again to trade him at deadline next season. Normally likely not an option but he took one last off season and had to realize he’s likely not a 20 million plus guy anymore might as well stay where they don’t tax you to death and coming to work under mcdaniel’s is like a fun summer camp.

Releasing Tyreek post June 1st, 2026 creates a $34m cap savings for 2026. He would have a dead cap hit of about $13m in 2027, but who cares. We’re rebuilding. Or should be…

Wes Welker
He was okay. Nothing compared to Wes welker. Satele didn’t last long with us because parcells came in and he didn’t fit power blocking scheme. He came back end of career to fill in for pouncey in 2014
Wes Welker, in a game against the Pats, was Wr, Kick-returner, Punter and kicker in a game for us due to injuries. Look it up. I hated that trade.
