DOLPHINS vs Eagles Throwback classic

The most memorable Dolphins/Eagles game for me was in 1993 when Doug Pederson was the QB and they won 19-14 in Philly to give Don Shula the all time wins record as a head coach.
Such an ugly game. It was a fitting way for Shula to break the record. W his emergency QB

I took a trip down memory lane w this - thanks for posting.

There are 3 plays Marino makes that are a ton of fun to watch. The first is a 4th and 2 play where we go for it - the short routes are covered so he goes DEEP for Duper and hits him in perfect stride down the right sideline. Low %age play and just MONEY. I think it’s at about the 22min mark.

Then there’s the TD throw to cut the Philly lead to 20-17 late. He makes like he’s gonna run, draws the D up, then stops and flicks it to Duper in the EZ. Money on a “must score” drive.

Finally, it’s a 4th and 10, last drive in regulation or go home and he beats pressure w a laser to the right sideline for a first down.

Then we tie it. Then we win it.

I guess we were underdogs in that game as Theisman kept talking about how, “Dan must be thrilled that the game has come down to being on his shoulders - he loves this” type of stuff.
