Since 2000 when Brady was drafted the dolphins are 9-7 at home v the pats. That's pretty impressive. We have won the last 3 in Miami. Throw out every stat for these games. Division rivals anything can happen!

Considering we've had some pretty ****ty teams, 9-7 is remarkable.

We beat them last year with a 6-10 team and bumped them from having the #1 seed in the AFC.

That was with Tannehill though who seemed to play really well against the Pats, especially at home. Pats have the #8 defense, #3 against the run. You better believe Belichick is going to focus on shutting down the run game against the Dolphins.

Have no fear..Adam Gase is here!

As a fan..I do not care who we play anymore. We now have an intellectual advantage on our sideline every Sunday that should at the very least keep us in the game (almost) every week!

Offensively he's generally always going to have an answer that should keep us competitive (except Bmore...that was miserable). This team needs defensive intellect though. Not saying VJ hasn't done a tremendous job with what he's got to work with, but I don't sense that same level of "genius." But good enough to get the job done, especially if you have a great ground game and a high-scoring offense.

No one has an intellectual advantage over Belichick, we can only hope to be on par with him. Only other coach I know who's on that intellectual level is John Harbaugh in Baltimore.

This is where Moore might hurt us a bit. With Tannehill, he can go deep, short, or anywhere consistently.

Though Matt's deep ball is even better then Ryans, if Belichick decides to take away the run and the deep pass, he has to show patience, and just try to pick apart the Pats moving the team slowly up for scores.

Gase also has to trust Ajayi, he might not be much early, but he gets better as the game go along, and the Pats defense succeeds on being disciplined and smart, which against Ajayi as the games go along, still might not be enough to just get a hand on him or slow him down.

Ajayi has proven to be a violent powerback that goes through tackles...Show patience Matt, and please trust your RB Gase.

Though Matt's deep ball is even better then Ryans...

Off-topic...Everyone keeps saying that, but I have never seen any evidence of it. Ryan's arm is stronger, and he is more accurate deep. Only thing about Matt's deep ball is that it's a tighter, prettier spiral. Matt can't make the deep throws Ryan makes.

@BenVolin: In this Sunday’s game, the Patriots’ QB will be older than the opposing head coach. Tom Brady is 39, Adam Gase is 38

Tannehills deep ball has been amongst the best in the nfl all season

In a recent interview, Tom Brady was asked where he liked to play the least....and his answer was Denver and Miami. We have had our success against him down in South Florida.

Keys in my mind....

Defensively - pressure Brady up the middle. He is the best at stepping up in the pocket....so take that away from him.

Offensively - they will try to take Ajayi out of the game and make Matt Moore beat them through the air. Would love to see us use the short passing game as an extension of the run game to get the ball to Ajayi and Landry in space and let them make plays.

Worried about our run defense in this one.

I actually think Moore just puts more air under it so receivers can run under it. Ryan has been way more accurate than people wanna give him credit for. This all stems from the Mike Wallace disaster.
