Let's see what everybody's greatest moment of that match up is.

Mine was definitely in 2001 when Fiedler broke the Raiders Nation hearts with a TD run with like 10 seconds left. But it wasn't the score so much or Fiedler's run but the aftermath.

The stadium was flooded with loud mouthed spike and mask wearing idiots especially that one guy right behind us. 6' something, some 300 lbs all dressed up in black and silver (with cape and shoulder spikes and his scary mask) all-game trash talking, foul mouthed beer drinking and spilling moron (no @Bumpus, I am sure it wasn't you :nah:)

After the TD I turned around and he was gone. When we were leaving there he was on the concourse at the spiral walkway where it goes down, cowering down, mask off, crying like a little girl, being consoled by his two big bad buddies who had tears in their eyes as well. I cannot tell you how funny all that trash talking we were doing was with the highlite being a little girl (I guess 10 years old) saying loudly: "Mommy, mommy, look at that big scary man crying.":lol::lol:

Absolutely great series with Miami winning quite a few recently.

My best memory is the AFC Championship game win where Miami just outright dominated, and advanced to super bowl VIII. The Raiders beat the Dolphins early that season 12-7 to snap Miami's win streak, which I think reached 18. Anyway, you just never saw Oakland dominated like that in those days. Big win obviously and a bit rare at that time against the Raiders.

The worst for me was the infamous Sea of Hands game. Win that one and I still believe the Dolphins go on to beat Pittsburgh at home and win a third straight super bowl. That game really hurt, but the game was one for the ages between two heavy weight champions. It was billed at the time as super bowl VII 1/2, which I'm sure bugged Chuck Noll.

Same both ways for me. I posted my ticket stub from the '73 AFC Championship game a few weeks ago. In particular I remember the sea of white hankie waving throughout the Orange Bowl during that game, and especially when Csonka score the clinching touchdown in the 4th quarter. Oakland made it tight and nervous in the third quarter after we thoroughly dominated the first half. I remember being so relieved and contented with the final touchdown...taking time to silently look at every angle of the stands as the hankies waved and some confetti thrown.

Sea of Hands game made me cry for 90 minutes or so. Pittsburgh would have been difficult a week later since they were peaking and we had many defensive injuries suffered in the Oakland game, but nobody was beating us in the Orange Bowl in that era. I would have been confident.

Third on the list would have been the 1970 playoff loss at Oakland. It was the first playoff game in franchise history and the Dolphins were hardly embarrassed. We lost 21-14 in the mud. Griese hit Warfield on a the signature slant play left to right for an early lead. Warfield ran into the goal post, which was on the field of play at the time, just a few yards into the end zone. The field condition was so bad there were several missed short field goals. The game was tied when Willie Brown in his prime returned a Griese pass for a long interception return. Then we gave up a huge touchdown pass down the left sideline to apparently end the game. But the Dolphins fought back and scored late. That final touchdown was a sense of immense pride in the community and within the team after the game. It was oft discussed as verification of what a prideful smart young team we had in the making.

I haven't been around long enough for many Raiders memories but this hit was awesome
