Dolphins Waiver Claims/Signings/Practice Squad

What's the story on this man-giant of a TE we have here? Anyone see him play / know anything about him?

Semisch? He caught a few passes at the end of the last game. Including a diving one. Showed some athleticism. Camp reports say he's shown ability as a blocker.

Dolphins cut CB Zack Bowman on Sunday; they've already re-signed him, per source.

what? what is the point in that?

Still though, it seems like we still have a lot of roster spots to fill and a lot of the guys we are getting are straight to the ps. Have the moves not all been announced yet?? Weird no one has wanted to claim the "bigger name" guys yet

Only reason you would do that if if you were getting yourself out of a fully guaranteed salary for 2015 and into a weekly one...but i dont think that happens if hes on the 53 week 1

So not sure i buy it

A little more from PFT:
On Sunday, the Dolphins released veteran cornerback Zack Bowman. Per a league source, they’ve already brought him back.

Originally signed by the Dolphins in April, it’s not entirely clear why the Dolphins cut him and then re-signed him. There’s a chance that it was the first example of the 54-man roster trick, in which a team releases a vested veteran with the wink-nod understanding that he will be brought back. (Before the trade deadline, any player with four or more years of service doesn’t have to pass through waivers.)

Regardless, as of Sunday afternoon Bowman was officially off the roster. Now, he’s back on it.

The Giants let go a LB who started 14 games for them last season. He has to be better than one of our guys.

To be fair, he is a good special teams player . . . . and between Jones, Ced and him . . . he's probably the best safety out of that group (right now).
