Dolphins' Wake named AFC Defensive Player of the Month

Miami Dolphins DE Cameron Wake was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Month for October on Thursday.


In the Dolphins' three October games, Wake recorded nine tackles and three sacks. The Dolphins were 3-0 in October, defeating the Bengals (17-13), Rams (17-14) and Jets (30-9).


Wake is tied for fourth in the NFL this season with 7.5 sacks, including a career-high 4.5 sacks against the Arizona Cardinals on Sept. 30. Wake’s 35.5 sacks in his first four seasons with the Dolphins are the most by any player in their first four seasons in franchise history.

Also, Olivier Vernon was named AFC Special Teams player of the week. Gotta love it! :brewskis:
