So Bushrod becomes the most likely answer in a re-signing. Soon.

First, Bushrod stated unequivocally after the season he wanted to return to Miami. He’s familiar with the system. He is now a veteran at the position after playing all 17 games there last season. And he’s familiar with the Dolphins coaching staff.

So when they said it was easy to find 2 guards, I guess they meant Larsen and Bushrod? :bobdole:

Tannehill must have been a terrible person in a past life

I would think he would be a better left guard than on the right. So I'll hold out hope for that, but Bushrod should be here as a depth option. Not a penciled in starter. Him and Larsen...? Really? How is that even close to a solution.

Bring back Bushrod. Sign Zuttah to play guard and eventually center, when Pouncey goes down. Draft someone. I'd feel better then, maybe tannehill would too. poor guy can't catch a break

The thing about Bushrod is he can slide out and play T in a pinch. I think Miami likes lineman show can play multiple positions (I think we have 5 who can play C).

For depth, sure. As a starter? Please no.

 Even Scarnecchia could make chicken salad out of this chicken crap we have at guard.

Bushrod on a dirt cheap salary is fine. He brings depth and is known as a great locker room guy.

But they do need to draft a guard who can step in to challenge for a starting spot immediately.

I don't believe he was a liability. He played well as part of the unit when they were all healthy.
They will bring some young guys to compete, probably after the 3rd round. S
In all likelihood, they will be guys with potential that need to play behind Bushrod for a year and be developed.

When I watched Bushrod, I never at any point thought, "Man this guy is the worse" "He is god awful". I got that with Dallas Thomas, Billy Turner, and Marc Columbo.

He was a serviceable pass blocker. But as far as run blocking is concerned? We better hope Pouncey can stay healthy, cuz it will be rough for poor Jay Ajayi.

Fasano will help tremendously in run blocking. I think people who disliked the Sims/Fasano swap are going to be very pleasantly surprised, at least in the short term.

I've seen your assessments on QB play, too. Let's just say . . . well, you're wrong.

Go after Zuttah. That's a starting caliber guy. If you bring in Zuttah you have 4 guys who can play G/C behind Pouncey. Zuttah, Larsen, Urbik and Steen. Bring Bushrod in. Draft a guard in the first 5 rounds.
