Dolphins will definitely have to trade up to #2 now for RGIII if they want him

Sing Manning and draft RGIII.....hello to being a serious threat for years to come. Would be the best years to be a Phin fan since Dan retired.
 
Anyone else think that the Rams will trade the 2nd pick a lot sooner than many think? Right now there are three legit trading partners, Miami, Cleve, Wash (maybe Seattle, but doubt it). Manning and Flynn could conceivably take two of those partners out of the mix by mid/late March. Seems that the pick value would go down at that point. IMO, the 2nd pick's value is at its highest right now.
 
I dont care how tall it says he is ...He does not play that tall at all...He throws the ball sorta side arm at time..Thats going to have to be corrected..I dont draft a qb at the #2 spot and mess with his mechanics..I would pass.

He'll probably get $23 million contract completely guaranteed...about a cap hit of about $5.5 million per year over 5 years with an option for a 6th year. That would leave us with about $9 million to sign the remaining draft picks plus another 10 or so players to fill the roster up to 53...If Peyton signs for $4 or $5 million per season we can have both....don't think it's going to happen.
 
If Matt Flynn gets tagged and manning either cannot play or signs elsewhere, then we go get RG3, if not we are sitting pretty to draft a right tackle or trade out of the top ten and pick up a future #1 pick and a swap in the 20s and grab best available tackle or wide receiver

Sign Manning OR draft RGIII, not both. We have too many other holes to invest most of our free agent money AND our highest draft pick on the same position IMO.
 
I really hope im wrong, but i think this RGIII thing is not a good thing. But im of the mindset of never draft a QB high. I would rather take a a line guy or a db.
 
If he was 6'0 I'd still trade up and get the guy, yes it looks better on paper, but 2 inches isn't going to decide if the guy is gonna be a good qb. We need to finally take a chance and do whatever it takes to get this kid or bring in Manning.
 
There is no way that Flynn will get tagged by green bay. Even if you are thinking of a tag and trade, there is no way anyone will want to pay top five money for a guy who has never shown for a legit amount of time as a starter in the nfl. As well as the fact Green Bay wont take a chance on having two qb's make top five money. That would kill the teams cap space......
 
Putting it plain and simple we don't have the ammo to jump to the #2 spot. It would easily take AT LEAST this years 1st and 2nd in addition to next years 1st. Again that is the minimum, they may still want more. We are in the middle of rebuilding this team, there is no way we trade all those picks away.

But besides that, I don't think the Rams want to trade down all the way to the number 8 spot anyway. It doesn't make sense for them. They would miss out on 2 big time key "franchise" players who I guarantee they want (Blackmon and Kalil). They have invested allot into Sam Bradford and they need to invest in helping him out. By moving down 8 spots there would be no chance of grabbing either Blackmon or Kalil. If they trade down to a team like the Browns, they would have the opportunity to still get 1 of the 2 guys they want (most likely Blackmon) in addition to some extra picks.

There is no way the Rams trade down to the #8 spot. And if they do I will gladly, and happily eat crow. I would love to get a guy like RG3. I just don't think the Rams are dumb enough to miss out on an opportunity to grab a franchise T or WR AND some extra picks, to help out there "franchise" QB.

imo that cap has changed alot and now the rookie caps are not as high as they use to be so imo if we can restructure a few players this might work ,i mean this isnt the way i may want to go , but just saying what was posted.
