Dolphins Work Out 2 LBs

Teams work out players all the time, it does not mean they will make a move. It's getting knowledge of players just in case you have injurys.

Saban has said he will be turning over the bottom of the roster weekly. So, we are in a different situation than other teams

yep i would think it is always a good idea to do that but why not look for another cornerback?
crrrrap someody stole my keg of coors light that was sitting out font , now how in the hell am i supose to start good solid threads without chugging down a cold one . i mean this is so cruel , where is the motivation?

I really believe one of these guys' will take Derek Pope's spot.

Sykes is 6'2, 236

Pierce is 6'1, 251

Wont have much impact, but still, if it fits the sytem then dump Derek and bring in a big guy. Maybe bring them in now, keep them inactive all year learning the defense, and next year we have a potential backup who is young, big, knows the system and could contribute on ST.

Kiwaukee Thomas will be active after the bye. It makes sense- give him up to and including the bye week to learn the defense and then throw him in there. It would have been too early otherwise. And Eddie Jackson has also looked good in limited action. Let Nick handle the position he knows best- DBs.

I could have sworn he played this week, at least they called his name on a tackle that I remember.

Nope, that was Eddie Jackson.
When Kiwaukee plays, you'll hear his name quite a bit because he will be the nickel and Howard will play the dime vs the Bills. Book it. Dont forget, this guy was a consistent, solid but not flashy player for a pretty decent Jags D. He will be a nice addition to the lineup if he is familiar enough with the system. He should be by this point.

Yep, Rick Spielman's EYE FOR TALENT Pope will be gone! :rofl3:

What about Shanahan's eye for talent? Terry Pierce was selected two spots after Eddie Moore and he has been cut. Pope was a 7th round pick.

Amazing that you could use the speculation that a former 2nd round pick (who was cut) replacing a 7th round pick reflects poorly on the person who selected the 7th rounder. :shakeno:

Hey, maybe Wanny got inside info that the Browncos were looking to grab Eddie with their 2nd rounder, so we snatched him up leaving them with Pierce :)

Replace Derrick Pope?

What's your knock on him? I remember last year when we were up against the Seahawks. He came in to replace Zach at Mike for most of the second half. Let's just say Sean Alexander didn't look like the **** after the Pope got his hands on him.
